I'm actually surprised, these awards are generally a competition of who has the largest and most mobilized playerbase, and those other games are massive compared to ffxiv.

Its easy their devs actually care about the game, they don't block skin mods and making quality of life improvements based on player feedback and u can tell the devs play the game too

Fortnite 2 year olds think their game deserved any award at all when their game's esport scene died after 1 event and all their streamers and content creators are playing other games.

They have done an amazing job under the circumstances. The global superconductor shortage is something completely outside of their control, or else you know they'd have added a bunch more servers to handle the influx of new players.
Sometimes, you just have to wait for something good. Once I'm in the game, it's been as smooth as I could have hoped for, honestly. They deserve all the awards they receive.
Struggled the first time I tried to play ffxiv, have just given it a second crack and lost 14hrs today playing it. Amazing
Queues are not fixing themselves until a hardware solution is found somehow,because the game is still growing, which isn't gonna help things. Suffering from success.

I haven't even been able to log in this week, congestion is getting worse, can't even get into a queue on my Data Center. I assume the expansion is great, but I haven't been able to play it.

Award shows are strange, either people agree with it or call it bought. Though many agree that its mainly for entertainment industries to pat themselves in the back.
