Our primary antagonist’s, always behind the scenes and standing center stage. What would happen if we cured them of Zodiark’s tempering?

  1. It's very interesting to think about what if in this case. With how much the lines between what is good and what is evil, what is dark and what is light, have been blurred in Shadowbringers, it's hard to tell if they would not be fooling us in thinking that they actually have free will and are truly doing and following what they feel is right (or maybe wrong). Looking forward to your next vid Wyrm!

  2. It's never stated that they were going to sacrifice "young races" to Zodiark. There's no proof they were going to sacrifice sapient life or that the existing races in XIV even existed pre-sundering.

Moreover, it can be argued that Emet-Selch was just lying about the tempering. His actions in accounting for his own demise, creating the Azem stone for WoL, and saving them against Elidibus directly go against Zodiark. Moreover by the laws of tempering, none of the sundered Ascians should be tempered to begin with since they all died, and Mitron giving up on serving Zodiark completely in favor of trying to compress time to be with Gaia further shows he's not really on team Zodiark either.
