  1. ah yes, the Big Fat Tacos

    this is indeed a bossfight for the Ultima Weapon – basically a 30 ft mecha powered by ancient magic – which is the final boss of A Realm Reborn, the FF14 relaunch
    it also serves as the common thread of a bunch of other Weapons' themes (Ruby, Emerald and Diamond all on the Shadowbringers soundtrack) which are based on this one

  4. This is the first final boss in the game, this motif returns a few more times before the end of the last expansion, including the last final boss of this story.

  5. Would be awesome if you could react to the original Ultima track as well, it gets overshadowed a lot by this rendition and the other final boss themes but it's just as epic in its own right. Easily one of the more unique boss themes in the game and really underappreciated imo.

  6. This is such a cool remix that I never knew existed!
    I'd definitely recommend checking out the original version of "Ultima", as well as "The Maker's Ruin" which plays for the first phase of this boss fight.

    There's technically also the beast tribe theme "One Blood" just because it's neat (and lore-appropriate) how the Ultima song is literally built on top of it.
