Yoshi-P: “What would you like the mechanics to be for your final raid?”
Yoko Taro: “Yes”
(IMO – I loved the shit out of this last raid, I don’t understand y some people didn’t like it, but to each their own I guess
)
Is your GPU failing? The room textures aren't loading. ;3
I think you got one of the attacks wrong on Her Inflorescence. "Distortion." is actually called. "The Final Song." Besides that..thanks for the guide. I've seen a lot of people just end up dying during these bosses..heck one person I saw got hit by a train it was hilarious.
Nier
Nice title Haps
Anyone confused honestly alliance. Raids were always close to seizure mechanics
cool mechanics, had a lot of fun…
but the most boring colors ever. beige with grey, almost the whole thing long, and terrible textures
I guess they had to balance having great mechanics with having shitty looking gear. I mean, where’s the guy who designed the LotA and void ark gear? Bring him back and fire who designed the ivalice and Nier raid gear, it’s hot garbage
Thanks lol
that last boss is such a glorious clusterfuck of aoe hell mechanics, i was pretty indifferent to the story of the neir raid, but thats a great fight
Thank you, Thank you for the seizure warning!
I'm getting Drakengard PTSD.
For "The Final Song", you can cheese it by facing where the 2 halfs of your circle meet towards the falling AOE. You can ignore the entire mechanic this way.
good to know im not the only one that had some visual impairments with the raid, a lot of the time the orange aoe markers blend in too well with the ground ala mt gulg did and i also did have headaches from some of the boses.
The hacking fight was my favorite!
I was legit mentally and physically drained after I finished this. I had to get up and walk around the house for a bit to shake it off.
Glad to know I can spot the buildings before they come up.
Really grateful for this guide, as I couldn't see a damn shit when I first did it and learned absolutely nothing. At least watching a guide helps me get a little more oriented on things.
I'm kinda relieved to see I'm not the only one that struggled with the flashy mechanics tho. This was, by far, the worst raid I've ever had to deal with and I was physically ill after completing it. Too flashy mechanics is really unecessary – and dangerous – and that horrible background wreaked havoc on my light sensitive eyes. My screen brightness is at 0, and I still wanted to dig my eyes out of my skull afterwards. Heck, just watching this video made me nauseous. D: Such a shame, the raid would've been a really cool one if it hadn't been so unfriendly towards disabilities.
I think i set a new record of deaths after i tried this for the first (and only) time..
When I started this raid, my gear was in top shape. When I was done, all my gear was under 10% durability. That’s how often I died.
After watching this, hopefully my second run will be less chaotic.
video starts at 1:20
Thank you! Many of the mechanics were honestly pretty intuitive (especially after dying to it once), but others I was still a little confused on (mostly the 3rd boss).
Speaking of, it's a relief to know that other people had visual issues with that one. It was a sensory overload for me, which caused me to die so many times and I just wanted to be done with the fight very quickly (though I did enjoy the hacking part of it). I don't mind learning new mechanics, but that fight was just visually too much. I don't look forward to doing it weekly for the coin and drops, tbh. Hopefully, since SE knows that it can cause seizures, they'll do something to fix it.
That aside, I hope that the weekly quests wrap up the story properly; I currently have a lot of questions and no answers…some of which questions about possible plot holes.
I saw the title before it got fixed. That was interesting.
That rescue to death at 9:33 lmao
…This is….merciful…? I recall the last one being hell on Earth, but this actually looks doable WITHOUT the added stress. owo!
Do you only get one coin pre week?
Great, I'm playing Nier and Drakengard…joy……………
I do like to take my first run through things like this blind. But it is a very humbling experience.
But geez, they really didn't add much warning to anything in this raid. If not for paying attention to other people every single mechanic would have killed me!
I left midway through the raid on release day. It's not that I couldn't do it, just with current monitor, partial colorblindness, and whoever's bright idea was to make a "sat outside for two days milk" colored floor needs to be talked to. Cause on Console, I couldn't see shit on the third boss. I died about 5 times on each boss cause I couldn't tell where any aoe markers were spawning on the floor. Most of it is based on animations, which I'm grateful for. But…yeah, got my clear and I'm staying clear of this one. To me, those ships are well…grey and…grey and those barriers are well… grey. and you guessed it grey
I just picked up playing Disgaea RPG for mobile but I was interested in the Dissidia Opera omnia mobile. So many video games, videos, and audio books are competing for my time. So many things which interest me.
First 2 raids to this series were okay. This one was absolute dogshit.
>Story makes no sense to someone who doesn't play Nier, at all
>"ok, least the raid and gear are cool even though we didn't get 9S gear"
>raid has literal fucking seizure triggers
NIIIIIIIIIICE
15:38 Did you say stand near the pillars, or stand NIER the pillars?
"stay cool and you should be fine" me screaming mid dragoon rotation
I pizza'd when I shoulda french fried.
Geez that's it lol
That tower fall is bullsh*it even if you're not standing under the shadow you still have the chance to get it fall on you.
Thank you again for an amazing guide! I’ll stop by and throw you some bits, or a donation, one of these days when I catch you on
"After replicating itself, the boss will prepare lunch!"
I was in this raid with you! I was the Viera bard with Gandiva
