Zero is one of the newest protagonists in Final Fantasy XIV, and she’s changing in a major way with the new story quests. Let’s explore why Zero’s time in the void has closed off her heart, and how her time in the Source is defrosting her. I hope you enjoy!

Love Zero
Always happy to see a new upload.
I've really enjoyed Zero's arch so far, thanks for the video!
Zeroooo <3<3<3
Yes tell us more about Zemus!
Can we talk about how beautiful she is too?!?!?!?
I really enjoyed the 6.3 msq, but it has me worried for Zero's future 😬. I'm so interested to see where they are going with this. I'd also love to hear what you think about this someone else. It's been a long time since FFIV for me 😅
Why did Zenos pick or was given Zero?
I would imagine like his new weapon , his scythe, he would have his pick of most voidsent. She is not particularly powerful like the 4 Archfiends or even there respective officers. It doesn’t appear that many of her unique abilities as a Memoriate transfer to Zenos either. She has her memories as a human but other voidsent do as well. She is unique but not special in the way Zenos would find interesting, so why her?
You mean zeromus
Ah! I have been anxiously awaiting your next vid ^^ Happy New Year!
yes tell use more about Zemus
she raises a lot of death flags. I am worried she is going to be Zeromus
Great stuff Stout!
Welcome back! I haven't finished 6.3 MSQ yet but this is definitely going to be on my watchlist.
I also noticed the Final Fantasy 9 parallel
The problem with Zero’s speech to Rubicante is how empty her words are. “Wrong to Damn another to save yourself” says someone who got pulled out of the void into the world that didn’t suffer through the same destructive cataclysm the voidsent went through. “Voidsent’s way of life” is a necessity, nor some kind of moral deficiency, if people of the source were subjected to the flood of darkness, they would’ve ended exactly the same way. She dares to tell Rubicante about his way being wrong, yet she is the one who lucked out and is now being coddled by the scions in a living world where she can have many other aether supplies and is not bound to a cycle of rebirth and suffering.
That’s a problem that comes up every time the writers of this game try to present morality, it’s the privileged few speaking to entire races and civilizations that have been doomed and led to the brink of despair.
Wether Alisaie's line was meant to replicate Zidane or not, I LOVE that you pointed it out. 🙂
One of my favorite moment in 6.3 is our interaction with Rubicante.
Through the WoL's eyes, it was like confronting Emet-Selch again. Fighting a friendly foe who believes in a cause we can sympathize with. Even Rubicante himself admits that our cause is righteous, and I love it.
The only thing missing was him healing us before the fight.
I'm worried about these possiblities happening:
Azdaja becoming the Shadow Dragon, kinda of somehow (or something worse than that even)……
Something like Zemus/Zeromus happening, possibly worse Zero could be that catalyst for it.
(Not really a fear but….) Zero being related to Golbez or Golbez knowing of her in general and what that could mean for her overall.
Golbez (trying on) killing Zero or something, but hopefully not.
In general she and him could have a connection even if that's something like "oh they knew each other because of the memorite abilities in the war" or something like that. The idea of something *bad* happening at large to her or overall or so hasn't left me quite yet, and that alone makes me worried.
So far in EW certain things I've (jokingly to friends) predicted before have happened in some way, so this makes my fears seem more frightening than others would think of them to be, making me just wonder…..
🤔
Zero has become a striking addition in these patch cycles. I find her thematic similarities to Zenos really interesting in how they parallel each other. Zenos was wrapped by apathy, unable to find any emotion to the world he lived in unless it was about combat with you. Zero due to her time in the void also struggles with understanding emotion and empathy, but unlike Zenos who ultimately couldn’t break his apathy, Zero seems to be on a path of understanding those around her.
Great video discussing her, I shall continue to hold out hope she joins us as a Scion in the future.
Yeah ur gonna talk about that superimposed image i dont know anything about
Very well done. I'm loving the new story and welcome any and all lore to come!
