1. I LOVE the body replacements that exist like the different bibo+ and tbse versions! They allow me to actually make my OCs look the way I want them to <3. I have some trans OCs too so yeah I MOSTLY rely on those upscales. If SE had the option for us to choose body shapes we like, I would be really much happier and wouldn't have to rely on mods like that.
   I'm glad you mentioned the differences in male and female versions of clothes like the Neo-IShgardian set because…. Why not? Why do I HAVE to wear the dress versions on my tomboy female viera??? .. I don't get this. Not to mention the fact that my Astro Viera can't wear the lvl 60 Astro hat smh.
   Regarding modern clothes, however, I'm a high fantasy andy who RPs sometimes. So I just try to stay away from any modern clothes, especially people porting random modern clothes from other IPs or pay licenses so they end up being paywalled behind patreon subscriptions. I personally only care about Nier Automata stuff so when ever I see a port of that then yeah my morals here break in that regard. However I just hate it when textures look way too alien from ingame ffxiv (that includes ported hair. That's why I make my own hair mashups)
   I just rather make edits of in-game clothes if I want a specific modernized shape to my clothes. I'm tired of paywalls (Can you make a video on monetization because people frfr selling ingame animations as idle animations lmao).

3. I'm assuming your from the Warcraft universe? You do know those modern looking outfits and futuristic outfits are all not immersive breaking right? why? Because your in the world of Final Fantasy, go play other final fantasy games and your understand, Final Fantasy isn't Midlevel times like Darksouls. They may use swords, bow and arrow and magic. But, in the universe of Final fantasy…. cars, guns, spaceships, lightsabers, Gundams, and casual "modern" and Science fiction outfits also exist. In the universe of Final Fantasy all era of the modern world exist together and at the same time (midlevel, modern, steampunk, and Science fiction (futuristic)) If you want a world that ground itself on midlevel times only, its not the universe of Final Fantasy.

4. Remember the last Valentione holiday event, where the quest was about expressing yourself how you want and wearing what makes you feel comfortable? And then when you complete the quest, they offer two sets of outfits, but you can only wear one of them based on your character's gender? It was a really weird thing to see, and it ran counter to the message of the quest. People were wondering "Why are the outfits gender-locked? Why not let us wear both outfits if we want them?"
   Well, of course it's not that the outfits were "locked." That's never how it works. Outfits don't just naturally fit everyone by default — they have to be made/adjusted specifically for every race/gender combination due to different body sizes and proportions. They have to think about clipping, textures, movement animations, etc. Also, the glamour item designers probably have to come up with these pieces WAY FAR in advance, and probably have no idea what the quest leading to them will be about. They probably knew it would be a Valentione's item, and that's it.
   Thankfully, the devs are going back and "unlocking" lots of outfits now, but it takes more work to make it available for more players. But, I think we can see why Viera and Hrothgar are getting screwed so often with headwear. They require a special version of every hat and helmet remade to fit their ears and head shapes.

6. Jesus. You're using so many mods, why even play FFXIV in particular at this point? It's not even XIV anymore. Also, having modern clothing in a medieval RPG setting is so garbage, it's literally made me quit FFXIV for games that are more true to their origins and themes. Like, we have goddamn cars and motorbikes in FFXIV, the hell? Just why? It's such a middle finger to those of us who have been around since 1.0 expecting some sort of RPG themekeeping, like you'd expect out of ANY GAME OR FRANCHISE.

8. I do hope they do bring the wow transmog system into ff14. it's the only thing i can praise wow for. Once you obtain a piece of clothing, to have it unlocked in your dresser forever. It even fits the mantra of collecting outfits in ff14 as well. The only thing preventing them from doing it is that the character and gear is apparently attached together according to yoshi-p. So when one loads a character it also loads every single outfit they have in the dresser as well. Then i'm here like, I don't even care if we lose an ultimate or relics for an entire expansion, just fix it so i can start collecting more outfits than what the dresser can handle.
