So in Crystal Tower during Curtain Call, me and my fellow healer decided to troll the party by rescueing each other to the other safe spot behind the ice at the same time. Nothing like seeing your party chat react to why both healers went sliding off but didn't die.
Haven't had any epic Rescue moments admittedly, though there was one moment that was pretty cool. Great Gubal Library Normal, I'm leveling my Dragoon atm, and we're at the final boss. Honestly, whole group was actually doing really well, not a single screw up on the mechanics. Boss starts doing that mechanic where he does a melee range aoe and then a donut aoe right after, so each and every time he did it, I just backflipped out of the melee one and then Spineshatter Dive back in avoiding the donut. No joke it was honestly one of the coolest moments for me, cause I legit felt like I was fluidly leaping away from danger before crashing back into the thick of it.
Had a pretty epic moment (me, being a dumb sprout) in the Crystal Tower raid. I was just casually DPS'ing away… not really taking note that everyone else had moved to the edges of the room. Then all of a sudden I get last minute pulled by my healer and see walls forming at the edge – followed by the boss doing a floor wipe anyone within. Was such a badass moment for the healer, I'll never forget them :'^) I would've been a dead sprout if I'd stayed at the boss any longer
And here I just rescue my friend on the first boss of Doma Castle to send him through all the knockback AOEs Affectionately referred to as "The White Mage's Wild Ride" in my friend group, first time was an accident. I refuse to tank that dungeon with my friends as healers now
I was running praetorium and it was right after the first boss, we were all standing on the elevator and this sprout wasn't, so I used rescue and it worked despite not being in combat. But it confused the sprout and they started to ran away, so the other healer used their rescue and pulled them back
It's the rare healer that know when to rescue someone that gets all the respect. From my experience so far it's either one second too late and I'm dead or the healer nearly kills me with it and then gets angry with me later. Only once has someone saved me and I still appreciate them.
My best rescue was in the second Stormblood dungeon. One dps didn't turn into an old crone for the seduction mechanic. I rescued them just before the aoe went off saving them.
You know what? It would be neat if a savage raid had a mechanic that knocks back both tanks hard enough to throw them off the arena and both healers need to use rescue to save them.
I never liked using rescue until I did it and found it very satisfying lol I like how they just slide up to you, I feel like a hero xD I wish healers had more role actions ☹️
The dungeon at the end of Shadowbringers base story. The boss that knocks off the little safe squares one by one when he does the big beam that takes up the entire main platform. We were on the last section, 3 platforms left, 2 on the left were safe, 1 on the right was going to break, and one of the DPS ran to it. I wasn't paying attention enough to yank him off of it right away, but I noticed in time, so it ended up being a super last second yoink right as the platform fell away. He noticed. Felt good. Always feels good when its actually a lifesaver instead of a wannabe speed boost or a trolling tool.
My best rescue was in Dun Scaith 1st boss after Blizzard cubes. I didn't rescue dude before aero knockback i rescued them as they were falling, healerGasm
You SAVED someone with Rescue? I'm pretty sure that's illegal.
With all the delays I usually just end up dragging corpses across the floor.

Ngl, kinda wish you fell off on the second tilt lol
To think some people claim Rescue is worthless and should be removed…
iv never had a time where that spell work good for me. every time some one does it to me the pull me into the AOE i was trying to get out of
During TEA prog, I got rezzed on top of the protean baits, and got rescued off of them since I wouldn't have been able to move out of them myself.
Not related but Panic Button is a fantastic name for a channel.
I remember once as a ninja on Dun Scaith, I managed to somehow roll back ONTO the platform on the first boss..

The Healer: "Alright got my rez cast- wait, oh shit- I JUST REZ'D YOU! DONT YOU GO FALLING DOWN A PIT ON ME NOW!"

Wait wait wait… That is meant to HELP PEOPLE?! Sweats

…Wait we use that to save ppl?
I was a healer in dun scaith… I cannot believe I managed to catch the guy just as he was going over the edge of the ship

I’ve rescued people like this so many times and no one’s ever appreciated me for it 😭
I've used rescue most often in O11 just because I can see when people don't stand in a circle and know what's coming.
amazing
You can SAVE people with rescue?!
The first time someone used rescue scared the absolute shit out of me. I didn't know it was an ability and thought I was being nabbed

You can practice those in Titan extreme all you want.
I suppose those rescued from Ancien Flare in LotA doesn't exist
that's a good healer
Would've been perfect if he was rescued to the right side, then didn't move and was about to fall off to the right but rescued by the other healer.

If I had rescue I would exclusively use it to randomly pull BMs out of their leylines
But he just get raised, that gives you 5 sec inmunity xD (if he dont use skill)
I prefer Resque. Pull people into AOE to que them for a Res
Meanwhile, my FC's healers are diving off the side while rescuing to pull the tanks to their doom 😅
As it should be ♥
This got a good laugh out of me 👍
the one time where healers used that spell to help ppl rather than kill them
