I said this somewhere else, but the fact he's using these weak auras and stuff that's clearly banned by dalamud… Honestly this spits in the community's faces, the Dev's faces, and all the dalamud creator's faces.
I'm disabled, I have to use some dalamud mods to just play normally and I know I'm not alone in this position, and then you see this and look at the dev for XIV combo refusing to support dancer and monk cause doing so would require a level of automation that they refuse to do… This guy is just hurting everyone.
this is why if they came out and said they are cancelling all ultimates moving forward and making all ultimates syncable moving forward I would not cry a single fucking tear lol.

the mods are not actually using apis (not official ones anyway) but more like reading the game memory and hijacking the game functions to do this. I'm not sure you could really block those raid mods without blocking act and raid logging too. But they could definitely make it harder to mod the game by implementing security measures. That would piss off a lot of players but i would be surprised if it doesn't happen one day. Intrusive anticheats is the way the whole industry is going sadly. The worst thing is that it will not make modding impossible but just a lot harder so you will only have paid cheats surviving and not stuff like chat bubbles.
Maybe it was just an ad for his cheats because to my understanding these kinds of mods are not free.
Shessh they don't make the game where its impossible to do Ultimates you just have to pratice and be prersistant. Do they really want the devs to add cheat software into the game to stop this stuff. I would personally rather not cause it takes up space on my pc.

You can adjust the camera height. When you enter the boss arena, use the arrows on your keyboard up and down. You can get a higher view, so when you do a birdseye view it does get bigger. Not as big as that one image, but it can help some with giant bosses.

I donโt care about chat bubbles and damage meters, but this should be an auto ban. No clarifying what mods will be tolerated, just the swift hand of god ban hammer when it goes too far. People wanting clear lines are just being deliberately obtuse.

8:30 that's a hentai thing. It's a Yaoi (basically hentai with gay men, for those lucky to be unaware) paddle, typically used for … uh… spanking. Basically it's just a joke, as Thordan is (I assume) pushing their $#!+ in. They probably thought it was funny, while shamelessly running super bannable mods.

I think that we all know that this isn't going to end well for the rest of us. In fact, they are adding some UI elements to the game from mods. Hopefully they add chat bubbles, but, point is, I would not be surprised if they drop some kind of anti-cheat into the game when they add those elements. To quote Angry Joe at these idgets streaming this stuff, "You done ****ed it up!"
QoL stuff is fine since it enhances the game that we wish we had like burning down the house is a god send
When you talked about your two things (The zoom out and the Yaoi paddle [its a meme from Anime Expo]) you missed the other thing – the mini map in the bottom right that shows all AOE patterns.
Think we are at the point where we as a community need to call this out and name drop so that people stop playing anything with them. This stuff effects us all. This stuff will eventually lead to blocking add ons some people need for accessibility. The entire community will be punished for a few bad eggs but we seem to let the bad eggs do this consistently without any name dropping so we can protect their reputation. Once name dropping begins to happen these people will stop. Because nobody will run anything with these people if they continue. I wouldn't say go harass these people since that's wrong just silently block them.
