  1. I seriously agree with pretty much every point you made here. When you started talking about how the game is an artform in itself because the music speaks to your soul…. it was like hearing my words come out of your mouth. I didn't give this game NEARLY the chance it deserved when I first played it (Around 2 years ago). I have been playing for about a year now concurrently and I can honestly say that the experience this game has provided me surpasses even the experience I had with WoW Vanilla when it launched. For the first time in ten years I got serious about the end-game, finding a group to push high-end content and just generally immersed myself completely into the game not because I was searching for some sort of meaningful experience but because I GENUINELY love this game. I don't have to push myself to play the game because the game itself makes me WANT to play it. For a long time I have been the type of person/player to play something for a bit and leave it when I get bored because I found myself bored more often than not with most the games I played after a short period of time. This game is the only game that has held my interest to such an extent that I play every day, without fail. I don't have to force myself through content. I don't feel forced to do certain aspects of the game for the sake of progression. I don't feel locked into things. I don't feel like I'm held almost against my will because I don't want to sacrifice hard earned progression or character output…. I simply love the game. Which in and of itself is something amazing.

Edit: Also, I just wanted to say you seem like a really genuine dude. Plan on watching a lot more of your content.

  2. I said it to my friends in game a few years back: the game has a nice comunity. in game. but once they are out of GMs' reach (reddit, youtube, discords,…) a few forget to behave and became super vocal. don't mind them.
btw. who cares you cleared savage with echo, you had Arthars in your party, I would lose my mind if I could play with the legend, lol.

  4. The vocal minority you speak of exists and quickly looses steam and power because as you learned yourself, you can enjoy the game in your own way! And everything gets echo eventually, Ultimates are here just for your non echo enjoyment ๐Ÿ˜‰ all clears are valid and eventually there will be the next expansion and another opportunity for the new raiders to experience that new content feeling and we will all be in it once again. To the moooon! <3

  5. I appreciate this honest review. Iโ€™ve been following you since you started ARR and Iโ€™ve enjoyed every video since. Those trolls in the comments are just losers. Enjoy the game however you want. Those people forget, that they once didnโ€™t know what they were doing. Keep up the good work quaz, canโ€™t wait to play end walker at launch with you! :3

  6. Quazii, you play the game how you play, and enjoy it. It's your playtime and your life. Some people need to button it, and stop their sad control issues. But I love your content. I also enjoy your funny, and warm personality. You're not boring, and I'm also learning with you too. I watch other streamers, but sometimes I do miss some stuff. What can I say – you make learning, and the experience fun by watching you learn. FFXIV is a great game, if given the chance. So thank you for giving this game that chance.

  7. would rather raid with new players, min ilevel & no echo AND watch a guid beforehand,.. instead of going with multiple (kill) experienced players min ilevel, no echo
(one kill experience in the group is fine.., but multiple or majority…)

if u go "blind", than do it blind.., but with new players + guide is just imo more fun to watch, than "blind" with top experience players and constant spoilers..)

the later is how Asmon has been doing thigs, and he gets so carried, he doesn't understand mechanics or dies half the fight, and still clears it (that's not bad, if u enjoy it, but not how the devs envisioned it, and makes fights less memorable)
    ..
there is no question about "streamer privliges", that obviously exist.., it's about how to experience the game, for the best expierence, to experience it, especially how many of us did the 1st time when its new, wanting to share that experience like Quazi mentioned (+ more fun to watch too)

and later not summ it up like "oh, raids in FFXIV are all so easy (boring), 1-shoot most of them easy", like Asmon kind of hints it

sure, I hear: "stfu, just let everyone play the way the want to".., but if we were never vocal (like how gud the story is), maaany more would have skipped the story or straight out jumped to endgame.., and still "enjoyed ffxiv" (but obviously missed out on that "experience"

  8. The great irony here is prior to the mass content creator wave, min ilevel runs were mostly the province of people making sure their friends could experience certain showpiece fights (ex. Singularity Reactor) without the boss just dying too quickly from gear inflation.
So yeah, play it how you want to play it and don't stress over it.

  9. It's very normal for new players to misunderstand trailers, veteran players misunderstand them too. Also – for every expansion – there always have been some live letters and fanfests in which devs gave us hints, infos and a bit of context, all elements new players don't have to analyze the trailers, so I hope people would chill a bit about new players speculations and let them experience the game and see by themselves if they are right or wrong

  10. I know it's echo'ing stuff people have said in other comments, but the "if you didn't do min ilvl and no echo you got carried" is utter nonsense in ShB raids. Is e12s easier with echo? Numerically, sure. It doesn't make the fight mechanics easier.

I cleared this tier well before echo. Doing a few reclears to help friends with echo has been easier, but all it gives is some breathing room. Less wipes to 2% on enrage because someone had an unfortunate death during that pull.
As for min ilvl? If you are at the absolute top of raiding, maybe you did the tier when it came out with min ilvl. But I can't imagine it being a large % of players that didn't take item upgrades as they progged, and got boss kills. It can be a bit bigger when it comes to the older tiers (e1-e8) but I don't recall you ever saying "I want the absolute most challenge out of this savage". Titan is still rough if people mess up mechanics with echo and 530 gear.

I'm not part of and don't want into the "MI NE" or 100 parse clubs, so it doesn't matter to me if the people who have been screaming this at you have cleared that way. I find it so strange they care so much if you don't play that way, when you've never said that was something you wanted or were trying for.

    You wanted to beat savage.

You did, it was awesome to watch.
Thanks for all the amazing content, and I hope you keep enjoying the game.

  11. People commenting that you should do minimum ilevel & no Echo are probably just concerned of a WoW streamer coming over and comparing normal difficulty 14 to WoW Mythic difficulty and then putting it down. Cuz what's the old meme? "Real raiders play WoW." The comments aren't really about YOU they are about protecting their game.

  12. I've always felt that many of the WoW add-ons are actually detrimental to the game's future health. They make the players and they developers lazy. I mean just look at the basic WoW UI. Blizzard hasn't done anything to it because why pay an employee do something when an add-on creator will do it for free? And you can't say they don't develop raid fights without assuming everyone's going to have week auras or DBM.

  13. I could be completely off base here but… When I've seen videos of people progging in 14, I've seen players purposefully kill other players and everyone laughs as they wipe. I can't remember seeing similar hijinks in WoW raid videos. I just get to feeling if you tried that once or twice you would find yourself kicked from the group.

  14. When I'm a spectator and watching someone do a boss fight for the first time I don't want to backseat drive. I want to see them be confused, flustered, harried and dying constantly to mechanics! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ And then overcoming that to win. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. I can not beleive you have been playing this game for just 90 days. I saw your reaction to Endwalker and actually thought you were one of the OG Legacy Players. Your love for this game really shows! Keep on going WoL!

  16. I feel the need to apologize to content creators for the vocal minority of the FFXIV community. I will defend the rest of our community fully, the vast majority of the community just want others to enjoy the game we love, however they want to enjoy it. โค I have thoroughly enjoyed your content and thrilled to have you as a FFXIV content creator!

  17. New to your content. I love it, and I'm like you. The game made me feel love and hope and sadness like never before in a game. It was almost IRL type of lvls, which made me fall in love with XIV. I really hope you continue to enjoy your journey. Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  18. Could anyone explain this GCBTW thing? Only started hearing about it in the last month or so.

It sounds like something that would've started on twitter from what I've heard.

  19. The math meta is serious business, to be fair. Jokes aside, it's been wonderful seeing your journey and streams for FFXIV, the latter especially since I've had savage anxiety for a good while now and watching you motivated me to properly push for some progression starting from E1S; We're at E5S now!
