  1. The reality is none of this really matters much. All classes are viable. Level / stat progression is linear, there are no “builds” like an ESO. Just pick whatever interests you.

  2. Just some notes from watching, SAM is always going to be undervalued in rdps because it is an enabler job. Enabler meaning that while their rdps may be lower than other melee's, they allow other jobs that rely on buffs like DNC, DRG, SCH, AST, etc, to hit higher numbers as well.
Having talked to some physranged who are week 1/world race players the main reasoning they gave for DNC being so good in prog/early prog is because of its defensive kit. Before disassemble/minne changes DNC had 3 partywide defense buttons while the other physranged had 1. Now it's closer with 2 for MCH/BRD, DNC still has a slight edge.
For tanks, new Shake it off is pretty strong so I could see that bringing WAR up, especially because it's always been strong in prog, but we can't know for sure.
Healer wise, SCH damage is actually harder to get out than SGE and requires more opti, but has higher highs. SCH also has deployment tactics which (before Holos changes) SGE couldn't even get close to. Now SGE can get closer to it but it still requires the use of a 120s cooldown. WHM/AST is also a tossup just because while WHM allows for the player to be able to focus more on mechanics, whereas AST has to focus on a lot more, but AST has some very strong prog tools such as CU being a 10% on a 60s cooldown, and macrocosmos being incredibly strong in prog.

  3. I don't play high difficulty content, but every time I play DNC, almost every single time I could use Shield Samba to mit, I'm in a dance, so I'm very glad they changed that
