  1. I think shield smite is a great ability when your group is even a little bit organised – one of the strongest actually. The problem is that games at the moment are very very bad (especially seal rock), and even commanding isn't going to solve it, as people who don't know what they doing aren't going to know any better what buttons to press and will most likely ignore or complain. As somebody who used to do calls, I really hope the regular players come back…

  2. Very good video as allways! i tried to climb up the CC ranks but im not able to get out of bronze. I play the PLD a lot because i feel comfortable with it and i being able to play him decent (imo), but it is like you mentioned: if your team is playing passive, you can do nothing 🙁

  3. Main PLD in PVP, so thank you for this guide, as I had a hard time wrapping my head around the new way to play it. It can be way more aggressive than I thought – I'm specialized in defensive plays, stalling a rushing team and avoiding swipes for my headless mates. It doesn't show in personal numbers, but you can see the difference when a few nodes during a game were taken because the enemy simply decided to focus the lone PLD 30 yalms from the objective.^^

Still unsure about CC. And I don't know if you are any help with that, as most your content seems focused on Frontlines. As PLD, I've been killed 100->0 in less than a second on a few occasions. Thanks to the share feature on Playstation, I've been able to analyse those plays and… well one of them was me getting killed solely by AoE damage when all my team was spread out and not pushing too hard, while trying to exploit a corner for LOS, so really I'm not sure how to interpret what we did bad or they did good either. xD But CC seems to be a squish-fest even for PLD.
A better grip on how to combo the shields and healing abilities should better my game in some instances I guess. So that's already something.
