yes, please stockpile again, so i can buy your dumped materia on patchday, when all of you flood the market again 🙂 i did this last patch, i could easily pentameld (and can do so coming patch as well…) but i sold nothing (that's crafter/gatherer)
also for battlemateria: ppl have been getting tokens for combatmateria for months now with hunttrains, in numbers: i rarely do those and am sitting on 350/150 tokens for nines/tens, that is not a lot

So are leves faster than ishgard restoration now? I thought restoration was the best 20-80.
We're getting data center travel in 6.18. I wonder how much that's going to effect the market.
Before patch 6.1 people speculated and preached how much money you can make with crafted combat gear, but as it stood out, the gear was super easy to make and the market crashed immediatly and you could buy a HQ gear piece off the MB for under 100k gil week 1.
I wonder if it will be the same this time, or if the crafting requirements will be higher. Regardless, if you are able to craft everything yourself and gather everythig yourself and you are completely independent and don't need the MB whatsoever (by being a pentamelded omni-crafter and gatherer like me lul) you save a lot of money just by that.
Also idk if mentioned, but the Immutable Solution will probably be needed as well in the new crafts and you can easily stock up on it by running expert dungeons and desynthing the gear from it. I am sitting at over 100 Solution just from that.
You can also buy lvl X materia with pvp wolf medals, I see lots of people sitting on capped wolf medals when they could be turning them into Gil. Specially with the crystalline conflict being such an easy source of wolf scripts.
Crafting gear is not as good for making money as people hype it up to be. ever since EW launch the prices on mb have tanked (for example: new gear is now worth less than some old leveling gear) because of too many crafters and too many new people cutting prices by millions at a time in a futile attempt to sell faster and becoming their own competitors.
it's still making money, true, but you're better off investing time into grinding eureka/bozja/diadem/unreal and so on for mount drops that can sell and net you more profit for no upfront (read: materia melding) costs. with 6.2 raid tier dropping 1 week after patch this will probably lower prices on new gear/materials even further. So unless you farmed a ton of materia to overmeld the new crafting gear upfront; don't bother; you're only gonna lose gil. in fact, it might be even more profitable to sell the materia than the actual gear 🙁

I'm in this horrid catch-22 situation where my gathering gear isn't high enough to gather mats for the gathering gear that will allow me to gather those mats. My crafting gear isn't high enough to make the gathering gear even if I bought the mats. There's something I'm not seeing. I'm lvl 90 on all crafters and gatherers but have been doing other things in game so I'm out of practice. 560ilvl. How do I escape the spiral?
Just subbed! I’m trying to get like 6 million Gil by Tuesday (start laughing now). I do use Universalis. Both gatherers are at 90, CRP, GSM, CUL, LWR, AND WVR are all at 90. Working on the others….I’m running out of time XD. I am also in my other friend’s FC on a NA server where housing is pathetic. I found ONE house in the Goblet and also put a bid in. It’s great to make Gil, but if you don’t have a house of your own it kinda sucks. On the OCE server in my other friend’s FC I finally was able to buy a home in Shirogane where I wanted to be in the first place and I love it. Mostly because I can learn how to cross breed and all that. I hope more housing developments come in 6.2 and not just floating islands….

Love the video, but how you got away with only paying 3 million gil is crazy. Even with server hopping it cost me 8 mil so far and I am not even done lol. Edit: 13mil and I still need 3 more melds. Buyer beware indeed.
If it takes you "A couple of weeks " to make 4m, no offense, but you are the wrong person to give crafting and gathering advice. Lol I made 4m just clearing out old mats on my retainers. DoH leves can still make about 4m in less than a day. BiS is cheap and easy, it's the penta-melds that will break you. Go to The Balance , you don't want crafting advice from someone that struggles to make 4m gil.
