  1. I love the bright, cartoony spell effects! Even though I'm not aiming to main this one, it's going to be great leveling it for fun, and seeing its spell effects in dungeons.

  2. i like how it sound in theory but I find the attacks are way too bright and colorful and kind of hurt my eyes. Very splatoon with the sound and I'm very mixed on it not going to lie. I'll give it a shot for a few levels and I think mods will be this class saving grace imagine a total conversion to any type of art imaginable.

  3. i thought the consensus was that they had been building up to green mage for a while now. not thrilled with pictomancer, was very excited for a new support magical dps. we have monk for melee dps support, we have dancer for ranged physical dps support, green mage would have fit the trifecta for magical dps support.

  4. The more I look at it the more I just hate it? In the preview the job uses fire, stone, ice, and lightning (same exact elements we already have… seriously not even water???) plus a moogle finisher that works like summoner summons work now. This is 0 innovation with a coat of cheap-looking, jarring paint effects. Total let down.

  5. I loved every bit of the Pictomancer reveal from the musical tone to Krile being the poster girl to all the festive, crazy colors. It's another great homage to FFVI, and everything about its presentation is fun and whimsical.

I can't wait for my summer vacation to Tuliyollal.

  7. Well, big fan, but…
Was planning to wake up and watch the stream for the reveal with my family and friends in the morning (timezones, yay) and in the middle of the night saw your reveal with the name of the class in the title…
Sorry Meoni, but poor show, dude πŸ™

  8. Do not like the Splatoon blob effects. A more textured watercolor effect would of been preferred here to give it more substance. Otherwise a very nice new job change for randomness sake.

  9. WHOO!!!!!!!!!! CALLED IT!!!!! love all the ff3/6 references, Realm was a pictomancer, Tritoch is the first esper you encounter, and i swear the music in the trailer where Estinien is fighting godzilla was a nod to one of the ff3/6 themes…. SUPER excited for the new classes! and yeah Yoshi, wearing the tmnt shirt for viper (a reptile), and the turtles being named after famous artists, was genius. green mage for limited class then? πŸ˜€

  10. Its going to be my main, no question… I just… … well, it remains to be seen if the color vibrancy gets toned down ingame or if its still these striking neon colors which imo just dont fit the overall FF14 setting… unless you're in the FallGuy event area…

  11. Depending on how far towards Black Mage it is it might become my main. I've waited a long time for a magic dps job that isn't quite as hard as Black Mage and not quite as simple as Red Mage and Summoner.

  12. Not happy with this new job at all.

Not only do the spell effects take me out of the immersion compeltely due to the drastic style differences, but also where the hell in Final fantasy history is there a 'pictomancer' or 'artist' class?

Personally, it seems to be taking from other MMOs that are not even half as popular as this one is.

Where are the traditional classes like BeastMaster?

I have final fantasy tattoos, i became a musician because of the beautiful soundtracks, and lately the franchise has really been making me disappoint.

The newest release of the numbered main-title was honestly not that great. You got to play as 1 person. Hardly any need for the Skill tree progression, and jobs/classes were completely thrown to the side to become just an omnipowerful entity.

Please make a return to games like Final Fantasy X.

That is hands down the best game i have ever played in my entire life.

Beautiful story, amazing skill tree progression, great character arcs, etc.

  13. This is the first time I hear of this job and I played FF6, but it must've been a different name due to a different language used, and I was much smaller at the time.
So this was was not on my radar at all, and I don't know how to feel about it, I have no opinion, neither of the two jobs are that interesting based on concept alone, how they feel on controller is more important to me, but both are DPS which I don't main anyways.
