Haps is a good guy!
I love that the after show is basically a full podcast episode itself :V Happy's an awesome guest. Can't wait to see you guys on SotR too
Garrett mentioning GMM is the best thing that's ever happened to me cause Kyle and Garrett remind me so much of Rhett and Link
Ran into Mr. Happy while poking around a zone trying to level up my WHM so it could be on standby for the inevitable of my Monk capping and wasting EXP from MSQ. Was doing a few FATES and found a swarm of people, so I threw a few heals out to a few hurting units (great for aggro generation, the thing FATES care most about) and one of them was Mr. Happy. I had to double check with my FC to confirm the details of what he played and what server he was on, but it's a neat little thing I can say I did. Now back to MSQ I go! o/
Mr Happy truly made me love the game as a struggling beginner so seeing him with you guys is so awesome. Shout out to you three for all the work you do
You want to know why I hate Lyse? Play Dawntrail. Wuk Lamat is everything Lyse should have been and then some. Wuk Lamat is an actually well developed character.
Still remember I start at 2.0 and cannot figure out how the registration works (still can't) that's how I found mrhappy channel.
Aw man, really sad to hear kyle hated hollow knight
. Its my favourite platformer of all time. Im looking forward to the extreme, savage, and whimsy streams more than than the MSQ in dawntrail. And other games of course.
Happy thinks Ashes will fail…I'm just wondering if it'll ever actually release. But yeah, I'm with him in that when it does, I don't see it succeeding. I think they're aiming too high for what they're trying to be. It sounds, from what I've heard at least, that they're trying to bring back "the old MMO", and that's just too niche nowadays for how big they're trying to be. I think most of the people who are hyped about it are gonna bounce off. I'll play it for a bit though cuz I think the class system is kinda interesting.
59:34 Every Support main facepalms when their Botlane Carry jumps back into the fight right after you put in all your effort into saving them
In FFXIV terms, it's like being a Healer that Rescues a DPS but the DPS still walks back into the AOE.
Now that I'm about halfway through DT, I really don't understand the whole "it's not about me" thing. I don't see how it's any different than any other expansion we've played. Even ShB, which is the most "about WoL" expac by far, so much of it is centered around the scions and the people you meet on the first.
good podcast
Really excited for the Wuk Lamat hate debate. Personally, I like her and how she fits in the entire character roster but I can see why some don’t both in game and probably in a meta sense.
This was an excellent podcast! Hopefully y'all do State of the Realm some day!
The first 2 DT extremes weren't too difficult but they are very, very fun. Picto is broke AF.
Garrett watching James Hoffmann: I see you are a man of culture as well
Mr Crappy is awful, has been for like 10 years
2nd comment I know but someone in our FC (they left) complained because Wuk Lamat's voice wasn't feminine enough…. I think there's a few things going on with the hate. I loved Dawntrail, it's my favorite expansion so far, they have all been wonderful, but I really love this one.
Too short.
Looking forward to the after-after-after show!
clock spots is probably the worst way I've ever heard anyone describe proteans and I'm really glad that hasn't caught on. clock spots mean a very specific thing and most proteans recently are not resolved by going to your clock spot and if you tell me clock spot, I'm doing something completely different than resolve the protean properly
Loving Wuk Lamat and dawntrail. Definitely see this X-pac being looked on fondly.
I am not a huge fan of Mr Happy content, but i have to say i really enjoyed how he interacted with the GG crew. This was a super good podcast. I like the chill vibe, FFXIV should be chill no matter what you are doing i feel.
As good an origiin stor yas my Gamer Handle. Bluefirl. Was playing WoW back i nMoP, and made a new character to level lit. Was a female Graenei shaman. And at the time I was terrible with names so I was just going to call it Bluegirl, cause duh. And at some point, not until Igot to MoP, Jade Forest, did someone ask "Hey, does your name mean Blue female-in-real-life?" And that's when I found out I mispelt the name. And because it's a funny anachdote, I decided to use it going forward. So, since that day some decade plus ago, I coined my gamer handle.
Pictomancer PvP overpowered. Let's talk about that. I have yet to lose a match
I loved the podcast and enjoy watching you guys. You normally have a pretty fair take on things, however, I do take note of one comment you made at the end about players always having to have a story about them. I love to read a variety of types of content, I love stories, I love character building, and I love world building. In most forms of media that I enjoy, I view the world and events around the main protagonist. It's their story, they are the stars of the show and hero in their story. However, FFXIV has always been different. We are the "Warriors of Light" or former WoL. Either way, we have defended the star for years. So while I agree we don't have to have "everything" about WoL, but when the "dod-doo hits the proverbial fan" just let us do what we are good at without interruption, let us be the badass for at least that moment. That's my one request.
