someone in my fc discord was complaining about how “all the new wow players are gonna make the community toxic” and I was like “what are you worried about toxicity in content for? All you do is afk in Limsa all day so it doesn’t even affect you,” guess I forgot about afk timer lol

………So people should sit through 40m of CS every 5m fight? People in this community are weird.
AFK timer is nothing new. We had a 15 minute AFK timer back during early ARR launch.
I remember reading somewhere that the login que times in FFXIV are only based on the simultaneous login attempts in the login pipe at a time (like WoWs authentication server que), not on total concurrent people already online, which is irrelevant to that que.
So now that they started AFK kicking again, that only makes the login pipe and que even more congested as more people are forced to be relogging a lot more regularly. So the fact they are doing this now and taking that longer login que trade off, heavily implies their servers are actually reaching capacity.
The Limsa AFK'ers are SO angry about this. It's wonderful.
The only issue I have with the 30 min AFK timer is queing as a DPS job. Sometimes the question are 30 mins surpass the timer
Finally time to farm some 520 gear. I really feel like these last patches should remove the tomestone cap as well or make everything purchaseable by the uncapped tomestones since everything else is being uncapped anyways.

There are ways around it. Just talk to an npc or a sign. They need to fix that.

So as someone lucky enough to have a ps5, all you need to do is use the ps4 version of the game on ps5 for some reason it works better than the ps5 version.
You can prevent the AFK timer from kicking you by not going AFK! 😀

Man… I was hoping afk boot would be 1 hour, not 30 minutes. It takes a while to make food and use the restroom. 🙂
some kind of weight on the spacebar while in chat is one way around the timer. also setting a timer for yourself to move the mouse every 29 minutes or so

I'm SO glad they increased the raid / fate drop rate. I was grinding fates for nearly two hours in the far east region, and I didn't get a SINGLE drop. Y'all. I was finna yeet myself. 🤣
I only go afk about 3 minutes if I’m not home I log off I get small queue time so doesn’t affect me as much

This is good news. Now we can have more people playing the game. Tired of seeing a group of people just afk dancing or showing off a weapon/glamour non-stop. Step aside, and let people play.
I know Brian said Barry Manilow voice, but for the love of me made me think more of Steve Blum, voice actor of Spike Spegal from Cowboy Bebop lol
I’m on rank 8 of Bozjan and I’m so tired of doing that stuff. I did my previous relic upgrades by doing the alternate methods so I didn’t even touch Bozjan until the final relic was released as I assumed I could do the whole thing by alternate means. Uuugh, can I just spam dungeons again and upgrade that way lol.

way better on ps5 then ps4 pro for me, load times are insane.
