  1. First I'd like to bring up that sundered ascians still have full glyphs, this was demonstrated with Nabriales, Igeyorhm, and recently with Loghrif and Mitron. There is a time we see half glyphs though and that is when ascians fuse together, which if you recall is exactly what Igeyorhm and Lahabrea did right before both of them (presumably) died. Emet-Selch tells us that Lahabrea was essentially losing himself (i dont remember the exact wording so correct me if I'm wrong) from all the body hopping he was doing. So between that, fusing with Igeyorhm, and then getting absorbed by King Thordan immediately after, I think its fair to say Lahabrea didn't come out completely….whole. Thats my theory at least.

  2. I think that as we traverse the story of FFXIV, we learn that much of our original conceptions of the world that we held in 2.0 were incorrect and or incomplete. For example in the 4.0 patch quests we learn that the burn was not created from primal summoning but by Allag. This we came to understand that primals don't strictly consume aether, but rather convert it to another state (though I thought that the nature of primals would have made that obviously to the scions but the plot must go on). Furthermore, from 5.0 patch quests, we learned that the souls of those consumed by primals remain cognisant of the world (Elidibus). Additionally, given enough strength, souls can separate themselves from the primal in question (again, Elidibus). Therefore, it is quite possible that we have not seen the last of Lahabrea. Heck, even Emet Selch has a cameo in the most recent msq trial, so death does not have much meaning for acsians at this point.

  3. Hear me here…it can be just me but look at the image face it looks like Louisoix and well Lahabreais know to create beings so what is we have to end this story killing the savior of Eorzea again maybe using lahabrea true from fused with the Phoenix of Louisoix could be poetic a cyclical story going to end the story againts the one who saved us. Just saying his face look similar perhaps a smaller beard but the skin tone and beard looks alike.

  4. Lahabrea is seal in the eye of nidhogg the eye that estinen still has with him the eye that was destroyed is the other eye that nidhogg loses after WOL defet it thats the eye that was used by eldibus to create shinryu and thats the eye we see is destroyed by estinen after WOL beats Zenos that means Lahabrea still pretty alive and hes going to escape from the seal becouse something is going to happend

  5. we didnt actually see him die in HW since its clear that being 'absorbed' into something doesnt kill an ascian or else the "sword of light" would be an unnecessary component of defeating them. he was simply absorbed into one of nidhoggs eyes which was in the blade of thordans sword. seeing as the eye is a much larger container which houses a thousand years of aether, you could say it would be harder to escape from than a chunk of auricite and the fact that thordan was using him as a battery, draining his aether over time to maintain form. which didnt last very long. then he was used to power Shinryu, which is the same situation. it wasnt until the end of Stormblood where Estinien destroyed the eyes completely that you could theoretically say was the true death of Lahabrea.

  6. I think it can be one of three possible scenarios to see Lahabrea again.
    1) Its the true Lahabrea, and Elidibus found a way to reconstitute his soul after removing it from the eye before giving it to Ilberd. Which means he has been convalescing somewhere half dead until now.
    2) Its his replacement, possibly another ascian given the title of Lahabrea.
    3) Its the "shade" of Lahabrea, conjured up to fight us by Fandaniel or another ascian.

  7. My personal belief is that the Lahabrea we faced in ARR and Heavensward were both body doubles that the real Lahabrea created while he worked from the shadows. It explains how he took a Hydaelyn charged blade of light in ARR, and a nidhogg fueled Thordan slash in HW, and has come back from both. I believe this is why there was stories about Lahabrea's skill with creation magic in Amaurot. I think that the Pandaemonium raid will see us face a FF2 themed raid, with some ascian and FF9 stuff thrown in, but the final boss will be Lahabrea as the Emperor of Hell (the final boss of FF2). The emperor's name in FF2 was Mateus, and Mateus is the ivalice esper that is opposite to Lahabrea. All adds up in my opinion, and gives us a great way to face down the Emperor from FF2 in a raid.

  8. Unexplained thing so far.
    1. The cause of ancients demise.
    2. How did Emet selch, Elidibus and Lahabrea escaped from sundering?
    3. What was causing the death of dragon star? And where's it(outside of 13 shards and the source)
    4. What kinda pact did Hydaelyn and Midgardsormr made? And what's sliver tears?
I'm so excited to see how do all this being tied up in Endwalker.

  9. One thing I really want to point out that I noticed in rewatching some 5.3 cutscenes (SPOILERS PAST THIS POINT)

When we are giving the Ascian Soulstones back to Elidibus to help his memories, I noted that there were only 12 stones shown (Elidibus holds 2 and there are 10 on the ground in front of him). It was confirmed that the WoL has kept Azem's soulstone (which we could use as part of 6.0 getting to the moon arc) but I want to know which other soulstone we have kept/lost and why? My prediction is that it could have been either Emet-Selch's or Lahabrea's stone. If it's Lahabrea's, then that could cause someone to ascend to the position of Lahabrea and be the boss of Pandaemonium.
One way of confirming this would be to back through the cutscenes and match up the colours of the stones given to Elidibus with the series of interactions we had when we found the stones, just before the talk with Hythlodaeus.

  10. In spite of ff2 being the worst ff (at least mechanically) it had some gr8 boss designs thatd be cool to see.
I expect at least one or two ff9 bosses as ff9 also has pandaemonium.
Sadly the story will undoubtedly suck eggs. Who wanted Lahabrea back? He died forever ago can we PLEASE move past Ascians? Mitron ruined the Eden raids.

  11. If Lahabrea is not actually in the raid, I'd be extremely mad at this point. They already baited us once with the Cover of 5.4, where he was displayed and then never showed up!

  12. I don’t like the “title” name theory.

End of shadowbringers and 5.3 really drive home the sundered vs unsundered Ascians idea. Lahabrea, Emet Selch, and elidibus were the supposedly only unsundered left.

So it being a title doesn’t totally mesh well with me. Emet Selch and elidibus were established to have memories, you even give Elidibus his own memories back, so you know it’s the same elidibus.

Hell, I feel like if they had the idea, tech, and design, the ascians default shade selves would be the Ancients.

But I feel at least elidibus and Emet Selch were the same throughout. Lahabrea is up for debate.

I’m just happy to hear more about his development. I think it’s one of the first characters we truly remember and we keep hearing about him AFTER his death.

So with all of this ascian development, I’ll be excited to see, whether it IS a title or not, at least we’ll get more development on the OG Ascian lol.

  13. Just to point out were not sure what happened to Nighogg's eyes inbetween the time after we threw them into that aether ravine in Ishgard and when the Warrior's of darkness went to claim the eyes. My theory is that somehow Lahabrea escaped in that time frame so when Estinien destroys the eyes with his lance our fav ascian wasn't killed.

  14. I thought Emet Selch was also a title. could of sworn they talked about that he was the current Emet Selch implying it's a title. Something about Hythlog not wanting to be Emet
