I just took the standard edition from Gamepass and do not mind paying 11€ for the beginner abo, since I want to play with my 2 best buddies and I also want to support the game. Since I also had prior to that an existing account from Playstation I also do not need to f*ck around with these FFXIV coins. But what we find strange or more greedy is the price for Endwalker. I mean, in around 3-4 months Danwtrail is coming where Endwalker will be included anyhow (if they do not change the current setup). So why waste now 45€ for Endwalker and then again in 3 months 45€ for Dawntrail?
I own all expansions on pc, wonder if I can down load them here

A hardcore MMORPG player could easily get up to latest Expansion within 7 days.
However a brand new Casual player who enjoy having their time arbitrarily wasted
by playing it like a Single-player, never skipping boring dialogues or pointless cutscenes etc.
could easily take much more than 1 month. 🤣
I bought the game for PC, PS5, and Mac. I use each one throughout the week. I think I need help.
Dunno how anyone who isnt new can play this game on anything other than PC rn. At least mods let you make ur own content when SE doesn't give you any for a year and change.
O.o 100 hours per expansion? Only took me like 30 hours for lvl 1 to end of storm blood
It's important to know that if you'd already purchased Endwalkers on another platform, like wndows, you'll have to repurchase it for Xbox. I love the game but not looking to spend another $70+ to play on XBox.

If you are new, I would say, start with the free trial first to see if you even like it at all.
