Yoshi-P and his entire team are all working very hard to bring us the best product they can, and that’s saying something in today’s day and age. It may take some time but I think everyone can appreciate the hard work they put in FFXIV. They’ll likely never see my channel but I firmly believe in supporting them in whatever way I can!

It’s a good thing about Cape Westwind, finally I won’t need to save scrubs that struggle with all the mechanics in that fight, I know they’re difficult at first but you just need to pay a little attention and it’s bearable
Thank goodness about Cape Westwind. So tired of getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter. All those mechanics aren't good for my smooth brain. At least it taught me how to put down markers!
Damn, amazing. We get some technically new content even in ARR.
I'm definitely gonna go back and actually do Castrum + Praetorium.
I am fine with all the changes coming! I will never do the New Game+ unless you can get Exp/Gil from it! If that ever happens we could use it to get our jobs to 90 but than it will die after that!
As much as I want to be excited about the idea of doing dungeons with some of the old Scions, it doesn't seem to be the case. Yoshi P has said in the live letter and in a later interview that the trust will mostly be adventurers guild members, and other echo blessed people. There will be some instances with characters we love, but it doesn't seem to be the focus. I guess we will have to wait and see how extensive it is
This will actually make me want to run my alt character finally. I started him a while ago haha but I just couldn’t get back in the mood to play through arr. but adding trusts means running whatever you need whenever you want and there’s the story possibilities! I’m so excited bc I want to run through with the scions and see what they shoulda been like during that time.
The msq dungeon change is fine bc most dialogue at the time does reference you leading a group of adventurers from the guilds for those missions. Thanks to the smaller group sizes and downsizing of certain parts we’ll probably see more people (maybe not running it but at least sticking through it). Also yeah if Rhitahtyn is a one on one he’s gonna be more memorable than his current curb stomp
This change might be the big thing that'll motivate me to do a new game plus run.
Cape Westwind turning into a 1v1 just makes more sense.
It always felt kind of hilarious to just roll up to that cliff with 8 fully geared adventurers and just fuckin' do a gang-based assassination like that. XD Like…It feels like the "smart" thing to do, but really kind of cuts a lot of the drama factor.
It'll be interesting to see how they do Trusts in low-level dungeons, especially the first three since you don't join the Scions until after Copperbell Mines.
I know they mentioned that the scions won't be available for the early game trusts just for the sake of not having to redo cutscenes and such which makes me wonder if Eda and her ill fated crew will get some time in trusts.
They also mentioned something about Ultima being separated out of Prae as a trial iirc. So Prae will likely end after Nero with Gaius' big speech being a solo cutscene and then Ultima being it's own thing with a phase 1 & 2.
Maybe you’ll trust with generic adventurers like in the original FFXIV cutscene. The source versions of the WODs?
Idk why they don't introduce racial quests. I for one would love to see duskwight lore, I personally was hoping that they had their own zone and lore.
I suppose after HW I can't expect to have another elezen centric city state 😩
No coverage of the lore Q&A?
"Lahabrea is not going to be a fight anymore."
not like he was much of a fight to begin withi'll always remember that one run where the entire party auto'd lahabrea to death.
good times
Neat
If nobody has already said it, Hildibrand makes a very brief appearance at the end of that dungeon in ShB where the various WoL are chasing you through every map. Right before you get to the final boss he is cowering in a corner looking around like "Where am I?"
Hildy did make an appearance in Shadowbringers. In the 'Gauntlet of Heroes' dungeon, there's a chance in the third section for Hildy to show up as the 'Gentleman of Light', looking very confused.
