FFXIV 6.4 Gear and Weapons reaction for the new raid, Pandemonium Anabaseion.

Checking out all the new gear in FFXIV 6.4 Dark Throne. These are some of the best sets we’ve ever seen from a raid tier. I love what they’re doing with the crystal back pieces, and other than the casters/healers, I think this is amazing.

  1. I actually like the scarves more than the crystals. I'm not a huge fan of flashy particle effects and such, and the scarf glowing is a nice subtle touch. What I DO absolutely hate though, is how almost every fucking healer set for raid tier is some frilly robes bullshit. Give me just one set of solid ass robes for once SE, not sleeveless bullshit with your back half-exposed.

  2. As a healer main, I just want a few glam options that aren't some variation on nun, librarian or funky art teacher. Personally, I like when they give variety and go away from the same thing we always get. Like every Reaper outfit doesn't need to be black with bandages, every red mage doesn't need to look like a red musketeer and every healer doesn't need to look like a f**king nun. Every time, I'm so tired. Weapons look cool but the designer really thought the answer to the healer shortage was to give the melees all crystals while the healers and caster get a sparkly shawl that doesn't look good with any dye but blue.

  3. Honestly hate the crystals and glow effects from the last tier. They don't look terrible themselves (although they don't fit on armor, glowy weapons, sure, but having all that glowy crap on armor is a slippery slope), my main problem is that they are attached to your character's back and not actually floating so they move really weirdly.

    Striking set is the clear winner this tier though (without the fugly hat)

  4. I just wish healers/casters could have more gear like cryptlurkers and less feminine. Not to mention every other class has had a lot more detailed and interesting gear.😬

  5. I actually love the caster/healer sets. and the scarves. Also blue and black is a great color combo, probably one of the better ones theyve done. Sure it would be nice for healers to consistently get something more than fancy robes though…
