  1. 2.5 was definitely the patch period that got me sucked in. The beginning of arr was definitely a slog especially for someone that had absolutely no idea what was happening story wise.
I will say though, the old ARR level 50 dungeons were quite difficult back then and even before the revamp. Copperbell mines hard mode gave me PTSD 🤣

  2. The way you are describing 2.5 towards the end of the video, that's how it feels with every patch now, hollow. Yes, the content is fun, but once you are done, there's really no incentive left to continue playing (unless you raid, which the majority doesn't) FFXIV feels so meh right now…

  3. The 2.x era is something that I feel that I look back on with rose tinted glasses. I think besides now, that was the time I played the most with HW and SB being the least. It always felt like a magical time getting a new update and seeing how the world would change next, especially in Mor Dhona. As a PLD main who only really did dungeons though, worst time of my life and glad it's gone!

  4. I never knew that Mor Dhona was build up over time! This makes me want them to do the same to the crystarium at some point. There is so much empty space at that place and it would be amazing if we went back there at some point and it would look different.

  5. I miss the original Steps of Faith. It was so much fun.

I struggled with Keeper of the Lake because I played with 30 fps and I would see AoE markers late and couldnt get out of them

  6. I never did pvp in this game until SB when they normalized stats in pvp modes and ditched the wow-esque pvp gear. I didn't even realize slaughter even existed
