They should upgrade Cure I/Physick/Benefic I to Cure II/Adloquium/Benefic II and change their traits. The potency on those are too low, if you are healing a tank you will heal the equal amount of 1 hit from a boss, it's a waste to cast it since they are all GCDs. Remove Regen (on WHM) and update those traits (Freecure, etc.) to activate more frequently after casting a Cure II/Benefic II and to make those abilities add some regen on a single target when it procs, maybe proc on AoEs aswell and remove Medica I and Helios so when in procs you will have to decide if you're going to use it on an AoE or in a single target. It would make hard casting GCD heals worth it.
On SCH, it was awesome when I started on ARR, I really miss how impactfull Succor was. Change those fairies maybe, add an upgraded one, or add some kind of rotation between them with different effects just like Bahamut and Phoenix on SUM, and please (Please!!!) make Succor impactfull again. I cannot explain how frustrating was to see how little my shield is when compared to a AST nocturnal sometimes.
Idea for procs …
for Scholar… If you get a damage crit on a DoT then your fairy procs a HoT on your focused target. If you get a crit on a DD, then your fairy procs a shield on your focused target. If you crit on group heal, then your fairy procs an AoE raid wide HoT.
For White Mage… certain crits could proc certain buffs. Some on focused target, some on raid
I can't believe y'all (in the comments) think WHM needs fixing over SCH…
I honestly want more stuff to do with healer resources.
Use all lilies at once ability to get the blood lily (also Aerith's ability from FF7RE the flower bed one as WHM's ley lines that makes lilies bloom faster)
A DPS ability that uses the fairy gauge for Scholar.. or buffs.. actually give Eos damage and healing abiliies that use gauge and buffs and other utility to Selene or other way around.
AST finna get reworked in every expansion. I just want it to be a neutral healer again so I want 7.0 to get a new pure/regen healer so Astro can go back to neutral healing
All I really want is for white Mage to have an attack spell that uses the lilies. There have been times I don't even need to use Lilly spells if I'm with a good tank. Especially the Warriors…and I'm just sitting on all of three of them. Maybe another AoE?
As healer sense 2.0. I will say. I never want healers to go back to the heavy handed dps plays we had back in stormblood. The amount of runs of dungeons that where wiped because we had to scream at our healers to stop dps and to heal. Ive lost count.
There is a reason healers lost their dps in Shadowbringers. Its because the majority of players are not responsible with there abilities and the community suffers for it.
Sometimes I think content creators have very skewed perspectives because the vast majority of them are on same data centers and don't actually deal with alot of the general community.
I know thats not the case with some but it definitely feels that way.
Like the idea of DPS procing Free Cure.
Drop Free Cure from Cure I and make Cure II and upgrade from it, to both free up a hotbar slot and get rid of times healers use Cure I in higher level content.
Add Free Cure to say, a random proc from a DOT tick similar to how some BRD abilities work, to encourage healers to use those.

It might come off as a little selfish, but i kinda like the varying degrees of "difficulty" the healers have being more on the easier side. WHM is pretty easy-going, i don't have to think too much, and if i wanna do something more proactive, i'd choose AST. After they changed how sleeve draw works i've kinda shirked away a bit from AST however.
Always had trouble with SCH though, As much as i like to play as it. I always feel like i'm missing something in my rotation or when SHTF, i don't have what i need to keep the team alive, although this is more of a me problem than the job though.
I think what makes WHM so appealing to a lot of people is that you don't have to follow a proper "rotation" in most cases, i haven't done any savage dungeons, so my experience with the tip-top of raid healing is zero.
Healing is pretty much ALL that i have done in this game (and pretty much every other mmo i play or have played) and i definitely love to do it, i'd never get tired of it even if it was only about healing.
I am truly excited to play sage, along with all the changes they have in store for healers in the future.
I would like to switch them back to basics. instead of making us green dps that throws in a heal here and there, make healing great again. make it 90/10 for heal (or 80/20 not lower) and not 95/5 to dps. i also dont understand why you (work to game) are saying tanks should get back to more tanking and not be blue dps and then saying for healers "we need more dps abilities"
Scholar is my favorite healer. I'm interested in seeing what they're doing with it. It is so easy to use for me. I have more trouble with whm. Lol
White mage is good at healing but itâs super boring to play. My favorite is Scholar. It does need rework tho with fairy. Level 80 skill is stupid, fairy is stupid, the Guage is stupid, fey blessing needs to be 30s. I feel that when we use a certain skill the fairy pops out for 30 seconds and does something and then pops away.
I mained as a WHM for 2 expansions and stopped in SHB because I like the idea of 'pure healer' that focuses more on healing rather than DPS. If I want to DPS, there are a lot of DPS jobs I can pick from instead. I would love to see a lot more dmg going out to push healers to do more healing rather than damage and make tanks focus on more defensives rather than DPS.
My main problems with SCH at the mo, are having to press 2-3 buttons to hard cast something that's not as good as something a WHM can do as an OGCD. And their primary shield having a cast time when AST has a small but instant shield. Meaning you can't quickly react to incoming damage. Because 9 times out of 10 you can't see the mechanic happen, react and cast the spell in time.
Iâd like to see astrologian move towards its logical conclusion. Healing through time Magicâs. We had time dilation etc and got that was stripped away for whatever reason in shadowbringers. So now that sage is going to be coming in, maybe thatâs the way we could go. Our healing could come from unwinding damage if that makes sense. Idk.
