  1. Disagree on dungeon spam being the fastest. Even with the earrings, Heat of Battle 3, and even Sage healer queues, Zadnor is crazy fast EXP, especially since MOST people will be doing Zadnor and not dungeon grinding, so the queues for ShB dungeons might suffer, especially since there's no new tank.

But yeah, if you don't like Bozja, do dungeon spam.

  2. While I do understand the optimized process of getting to the new lvl cap. I’m just going to take my time getting there in a casual way. I’m simply choosing to just enjoy the game in a relaxing way in Endwalker getting there. I’m just tired of rushing for no real good reason. While I’m also in a FC I still will take my time. Got both a PLD and BLM at lvl 80 in last 2 weeks and slowly finishing Shadowbringers and doing the raids. It’s a lot of content to get thru already. Thus I’m just gonna take my time in Endwalker. I will leave Wonderous Tales to my 57 DRK.

  3. I'm already set with my WT; Have the nine seals (got lucky and had two lines as well) and have 7/9 second chance points. To farm those points, I do Mentor Roulette as a DPS or check PF occasionally for people asking for help on clears.

  4. There’s going to be so many upset people if they nerf the exp payout come Endwalker launch đŸ€Ł

Also a side tip, don’t turn in the book right away. You will get WAY more exp turning it in at any higher level than the starting level! So I suggest holding on to the book until the next reset is about to happen on the 6th, and then grab the current weeks book right before the reset happens. Unless of course you super grind your job and are sitting at level 89, then of course turn them in. You’ll get WAY more exp for “free” than you would have if you turned them in right at 70 or 80.(Edit: also didn’t watch the whole vid so sorry if this is covered lol)

  5. So wait, can you hold two Tails books at once?
If not, don't you then have to complete the nine duties with the second book on the 3rd?
I'm confused because Meoni's talking about a free level "within an hour?"

  6. If you have Blue Mage leveled up you can kill Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit in one hit with Final Sting (buffed by Basic Instinct, Whistle, and Moon Flute). That makes for a very fast 9 runs as those can be taken down within 4 seconds of the instance starting. It also works on a few of the other ARR ones, so there's usually going to be an option that works out.

  7. Tbh I think it could be just as fast, if not faster, to hand in WT (50%), do pixies beast tribe (25%), and then the remaining 25% can be done by completing the challenge log entry of completing 10 fates with gold rating. It shouldn't take longer than ~15 minutes. That said, I don't know if that would be altered by the changes in xp in EW, so maybe doing a single dungeon instead would do the trick too (at least for Sage, RIP Reaper queue times)

  8. Bozja and Zadnor, if you're optimal, is the fastest way to hit 80. However more can go wrong, though even without the exp buffs you cruise through the levels. Considering most people with be either a DPS or a Healer it'll be interesting to see how some people tackle the CEs.

  9. I’m planning to give the book in, then doing a levelling roulette with the 2 dungeon challenge logs ready to pop with the completion of levelling roulette to get me to 71, then I plan to use the second book when I hit 79 to get half a level then so I’ll only need to do 1 mt gulg to get to 80.

  10. a few friends and I made a premade with a tank, sage, reaper to spam dungeons so we'll see how that goes

for getting to 71, wonderous tails + pixie dailies should be enough to get close if not over 71

  11. Dungeon spamming without a premade group is certainly not the fastest way to do it, queue times will be waaaaaay too long.
We (2 RPR 1 SGE) are turning in the WT from this week and do leveling roulette with a friendly tank for the (prepared) challenge log to get us to 71 and then prooobably go to Bozja.
Even though XP Buffs do not work there, skirmishes give so much xp and with all the Reapers and Sages zerging it they won't take long at all!
I leveled my GNB in SF a few months ago and it took me like 6-7 hours, iirc, dungeons with a very good and optimized premade group will take 4-5 hours.
Queue times might add 5-10min to a dungeon, not to mention random groups often taking more time.

Of course everyone can do as they please and dungeon spamming might be more enjoyable, I personally would just like to be as fast as possible 🙂
Most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the release! <3

  12. will just do WT, hunts and probably roulettes, to get all the jobs to 80, and most likely just trust them all to 90 once I finish the MSQ. the only job I dont have at 80 currently is DRK, which is sitting at 76.

  13. I am doing it solo. I love the rest of you but I am not giving anyone the opportunity to spoil anything. I will do 1 WT + pixie + challenge log + HoB 3 (my FC usually caps at 2 but you can get your own equivalent HoB 3 from Squadron missions). I will save the 2nd WT for later. Other than that I am dungeon spamming with my trusts and then MSQing + trust to 90. I imagine I will have to partner up with my FC for the trials since those aren’t trustable but as far as I am concerned until I complete the story this is a solo RPG.

  14. I suggest looking up mrhappy's video also: do challenge log but do not complete it (next week) for the "feeling lucky","dungeon master","exercising the right". Basically do 2 roulette leveling for dungeons, and do 2 dungeons NOT trough roulette, and give 4 commend in total. That way you can do one roulette leveling, get a dungeon, and complete all 3 challenge log at once. There is also the pixie beast tribe you can do for easy exp with their 3 quest.

  15. So here is a question to FFXIV players about the two new jobs:

    Based on the following information,

-Dramatically higher level required to unlock the job (bad for new players who want to play said job)
-No weapon glamour below level 70 (less glamour options, no Titan, Garuda, Ifrit, Ravana, Sephirot, etc.)
-No Artifact Armor options below level 80 (less glamour options)
-Fewer job quests (less things to do)
-Little to no leveling required (less things to do)
-Increased chances for players playing said job, underperforming

Why do people think its a positive experience for jobs to unlock at such high levels?

The only benefit I can see is "you can reach endgame sooner" but in my experience with FFXIV, many players face a lack of things to do, including raiders who tend to clear raids within the first 20% of a raids life cycle, and end up unsubscribing anyway?

-To me this does not benefit new players
(Since the level demand to unlock the job, is so high, you're literally already done with over 50% of the game at that point.)

    -This does not benefit veteran.
(Because its dramatically less glamour for that job (Partially limited job?) and since the leveling is mostly done, its less things to do, such as job quests and actual leveling and enjoying the job.)

So in a game that relies heavily on aesthetics "Glamour is the true endgame" why do people like when a job is released at such a high level, and Square-Enix does not develop the glamour for the job?

In conclusion I only see how this benefits Square-Enix, in that they simply do less work on each job each new expansion. (And aren't adding anything else to replace said items/content.)

  16. Earrings + Heat of Battle buff are only relevant in dungeons…unless I missed the change that it effects more than just mob kills. Bozja/Zadnor should be the quickest as a solo player.

  17. Southern Front/zadnor should still be very fast. Even without exp buffs each level takes roughly 1hr or less. if you do southern front it is easy to catch 90% of fates. For Sage players party up with others to increase threat rating for the fate. Then just nonstop.

    My recommendation
    >WT x 2 (to hit 71)
    >pixie daily(for a rough 25% of a lvl into 71)

    then it deviates

    if reaper
    >southern front till 80. as queue times will probably be at estimate 10+ minute wait

    if sage
    >check queue times. if reasonable do dungeons/MSQ roullettes.
    >if not/after doing them go to southernfront

both reaper and sage should party up to add in assurance of full rewards.
