Quazii looks at how the rotation of the planet in Endwalker from the moon, might point to us potentially heading to Meracydia or the New World in the 7.0 expansion.

  1. It's a sad feeling to leave behind so much having come this far, but there's still such a huge future ahead for FFXIV, I think I'm gonna be playing this game for at least another 10 years and that makes me very happy.

  2. I feel like there's been a heavy emphasis on Meracydia so that is for sure the next expansion we head to. The "New World" looks far, far bigger than Meracydia, so I assume most of it is uninhabited. They have quite a few options here. But I think they need to consider some basics first. For example, what are they going to do with the older zones as they become more and more left behind? I love that they have opened seemingly endless possibilities of adventure, but wouldn't it be beneficial to find ways to keep finding reasons for players to go to older zones as well? Some may say that this is just the natural progression of an mmo and I understand that, but I would feel bad knowing that there are literally places in the world that nobody touches. It feels like a waste.

I hope the writers and lead team take as much time as possible to consider this. We can keep doing the "6 new zones" format, and I would be fine. But Mor Dhona is still great. The Twelveswood is still luscious. La Noscea is still beautiful. Thanalan is urh, well, it exists. I think we still have a lot to uncover before going to new continents like NW. So I feel Meracydia is next in line for six brand new zones.

  3. Let my imagination run wild
Maybe we'll get a new playable race soon once we landed in Meracydia since that continent is a full of various race, dragons, half-dragon, centaur etc. And in the mentioned continent we know nothing about its current state since the Allagan invaded and captured Bahamut.
The new playable race might be a half-dragon race with only 1 gender at first (like Hrothgar and Viera)

  4. Love this "blank canvas" for the team to start something fresh and really get the creative minds buzzing with hype. Excited for them to BUILD even more enrich tales of FF, gosh they must be so happy to have this freedom. So glad I played FFXIV since 2015, what a journey.

  5. One of my biggest sore spots with ff11 is the final expansion was based on an area mentioned by an npc as a one off line, in stark opposition to expectations of a myriad of other areas teased and referenced in the world of vanadiel.

Meanwhile 14 has been taking us to those places we long heard about one by one, it makes the world more realized, these aren't just some names or squiggles on a map, they are real places that matter to the world at large as well.

  6. Genuinely, there are an insane amount of places we could go next, especially with what unfolds in EW, they really put a spotlight on how massive the world of FF14 is and how much we haven't seen or even really heard of up until now.

  7. the planet doesn't just rotate, it's synched to the in-game clock. the east border of Eorzea starts rotating into the lit side of the planet when it's daybreak according to the "Eorzean Time" game clock.

  8. I just hope theyre extra careful with how they handle the new world stuff. There are obvious parallels to the real world and north american colonialism and it's a rightfully loaded topic.

  9. I agree Meracydia seems likely, next, given we've freed Tiamat. But I'd be interested to see the New World as well. And don't forget the Southern Seas! Whole bunch of "tiny" islands that they can have us visit, as we.

  10. Nice I was starting to think that I was the only one who notice this too as you progress thru the ew msq I'm pretty sure they well talk about the new world content and the southern content

  11. Considering the attention to detail and their efforts to make their world as realistic as possible, I did expect them to add rotation to the planet. But in all honesty, I expected many more clouds hiding unknown places instead of such a clear view.
A bit worried about the massive oceans, but eh, at least there's more than enough content for the near future.

  12. Bro I am so afraid of watching your videos now for the spoilers for endwalker since I am taking it easy and leveling through RR. Am level 47 now. Just got some epic looking dragon helm from a dungeon boss. Looks great on my big Lalafel marauder warrior of the maelstrom of light.

  13. For me the big problem is the scale of powers and the level of our achievements in this story! We've done so many impossible things, how are they going to convince us to travel to a continent next door after hitting ……. and …….. in the punch! LOL

  14. Reading comments people seem to forget there is the whole thing with the shards. The 13th has been talked about so many times over and over there is no way it won't be the focus of a story at some point. As well as Y'shtola looking for a way to travel between worlds, and Ryne specifically saying we will meet again. I don't know if it'll be our next adventure but they've planted more than one seed about the other shards. Especially with a certain someone at the end of Endwalker specifically saying "have you visited the other shards? you might be in for more than one surprise"
