Healing in this game is kind of a joke , until raids
I mained WHM for 5 years, love your stuff it's on point
Oh my gosh thank you, I really appreciate being able to see the comparison and contrast of all three healers in each area.
Really good and informative video. Editing was amazing.
Random thought. I noticed every healer has a floaty thing.
Sage gets floating lasers.
Astrologian gets floating star globe.
Scholar gets floating fairy.
White Mage gets floating disco ball of blinding doom.
Edit: On a serious note. In terms of debuffs, Dissease (looks like a person bent over with a cloud over them) is very important to Esuna. It reduces the healing the person gets and can seriously hinder your healing output.
Pros: you'll always been in demand.
Sadly I forget which video I subscribed on apologies. Looking forward to your dps vid.
Hey guys I’m new to Astro FYI. Tanks instantly pulls half the dungeon… yep back to dps I go
Awesome guide. Thank you!
Thanks for this I’m a new subscriber! Currently on my first toon playing paladin lvl 50 atm. Going to play healer job next for whm is what I’ll probably go with.
It'd be so fun to troll and say "first time here, push me to my limits. Death puts everything into perspective".
Sprout here. Have not tried much but poking enemies with a long stick so far. I love the fact that playing the game with a controller is very easy. The only drawback so far is switching targets quickly. So i'm not confident trying a healer job where switching between enemies and teammates is important. I guess I can use the mouse to do so, but switching back and forth between controller and mouse takes precious seconds as well.
Been leveling up all jobs in grouping, 30-61-71-now 80. Love all of this as it's been very much my experience with leveling up healers. Edit: 95% of all that was in PoTD, HoH, and now Trust. Edit 2: Loved the editing and flow of the video. Really took all the good info you give and removed the "this feels like a recoding of a live stream" feel away that some older stuff has.
Meanwhile, I play healer so I have an excuse when someone accuses me of slacking in DPS. "Quit standing in the AoE then!!"
Seriously though, the anxiety is real. Glad I'm not the only one.
What was that opening song? I can't remember it's name.
i tried healer before, ran into a couple dps who kept pulling mobs before the tank, because tank wasn't doing wall to wall pulls. (tank was a sprout). I called them out on it and they ignored me. I let them die many times until they learned their lesson. Tank commended me, and I never healed again. My power was to great.
Tip no 1 from my part, and I learned this very fast. Unlike in most MMOs, you do NOT need to keep all your party at 100% health until like endgame, where it's preferable, since bosses do quite a crapton of damage in savage mode. Keep them at a comfortable 50-60% as they won't be one shot, throw out an AoE regen if you're a WHN/AST or your Fairy's AoE + your shield if you're a SCH. It should be enough most of the times.
And please, keep YOURSELF alive, a lot of our beloved healers forget to heal themselves, such a tunnel vision they have to keep the party alive 🙂
commenting for the algorithm, but also was thinking of learning healing in FFXIV so perfect video too.
Healing Anxiety is real.. because if you're on Aether, you're eventually going to have to heal while I tank.
I main SCH, when I play WHM for the first time, I'm actually shocked that healing was so easy
"It's very natural to feel anxiety when playing a healer in FFXIV". Healer's what I get on when I want low anxiety. No 347-step rotation to master. Just spam Holy or Broil/Art of War and if the mobs die first, I've healed everybody. 😉
Great vid for my noob butt. Thanks. One thing I learnt is debuffs have a bar on top of them use Esuna to clear them off.
Best way to remove healer anxiety is acceptance.
If they dies, they dies.
You aren't even obliged to resurrected them.
Signed: The WHM who didn't bene DRK still on walking dead after boss died.
I didn't realise I wasn't subbed. I am now 🤣
I have more anxiety about tanking than healing. I feel like the dps keep rushing me when they run ahead of me.
Also I hate when dps pull. I have had issues with dps getting angry with me cuz they pulled and on purpose I didn't take aggro of them so they learn that only the tank pulls.
So yeah, I like playing tank solo but in a group I prefer to heal or dps.
I enjoyed it felt nice and confit
Spent 10+ years healing in WoW before shifting to FFXIV … I have never enjoyed healing so much as I do now.
You will fear healing when you encounter Superbolide and savage or above. >:)
