  1. Considering that Zenos has been proven to identify as battle-sexual, it is surprising how many people underestimate the power of his Horny.
That being said, the WoL is riding the dragon from of his arch-rival into battle agains the amalgamated embodiment of despair from a thousand dead worlds. There is nothing more metal than that.

  2. The Dead Ends is genuinely one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had in a piece of media, period. I did it with trusts so that I could take my time (and see the scions’ reactions) but I wasn’t expecting such a powerful and almost. . .violent presentation of the ways a world can end. Seeing these civilizations on their last legs with meteion’s narration plus the bosses and her final words to cap the area, wow
“Until the very last of them wished they had never been born at all” How far would a planet have to fall that every last life on it begged to die, would rather have not lived at all in the first place?
“And when one was asked, what is the point, there were none left to answer” “I did it, I killed them all! I. . .killed them all” The fact that they used meteion’s arrival as PROPAGANDA to bolster their side of the war, and being the absolute extreme of what garlemald was going for, was terrifying
And then thirdly, death by a paradise of stagnation. Reading the entry about how meteion begged them to find a better answer than what they had tore my heart
I can’t imagine how she must’ve felt, desperately looking for something or someone that wanted to keep living, pushing the places she visited to search, but always coming up empty and failing until it broke her

  3. Watching this with some rum…The lore here is interesting…LMAO!!! Odessa didn't clear their danger dorito! LOL Poor Hell…*chuckle* TOASTY! (yes…said like in MK)! Now wasn't that fun? A head and some wings…VERY creepy! She got on my damn nerves! They're mad at YOU because THEY failed…Zenos, the ultimate stalker…that's just so unhealthy, dude…I've always hated Zenos! And now I'm screaming! BUT…looking forward to seeing you fight this trial and wish I could see the look on your face as you do! Always have a hoot when I watch you!

  4. Fun fact about the final boss in The Dead End… a warrior can actually solo it when it’s health is brought down to half… long story short my party got killed and I’m left standing and struggling to finish the fight myself…it’s hard but it’s doable…makes me think with stronger gear can a warrior solo the entire final boss fight???

  5. It was kinda more than "everything's horrible" on the dungeon notes, though…

Endsinger's got its worst match-up. Someone who endures despair alongside someone who simply doesn't recognize it as a thing.

People often say just the final phase is the boss "hearing boss music" but I contest this. The whole fight is already the Endsinger hearing boss music. We are the ones with two phases.

The fact the theme is a mash-up of the previous final boss themes, in a triumphant delivery, is very telling of the WoL's journey and how its struggles allow them now to have the upper hand. It's a losing battle from the start for the despairing Meteia, and Zenos makes it clear who's on the offensive when it begins.

  6. That was a fun run. We had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't change any of it. It's those falters what made it all the more exciting. 😋

It was an honor & a privilege to play by you guys' side. I eagerly await to see how much of a bang you finish this story with. 😎🤘

  7. That second boss in the dungeon's kinda spicy, huh? Props to your team for almost saving that first pull! Tenacity's not just a stat, brother. :3

One random point about that dungeon I appreciate is the NPC dialogue just after the second boss – the portal to the next area doesn't appear until the missiles land and the guy realizes what he's done. In-game it's Meteion doing her despair thing, but in reality it's the devs making sure you SEE that shit. No skipping the apocalypse – you've got front-row seats and you're watching, goddammit.

  8. Square has a habit of breaking the players and humbling them real quick. My experience through this was heavily understanding that the dungeon itself was Meteion's experience with her sisters and a dramatic retelling of those experiences.
