I think the people who hoard gil ruined the fancy new mount for the rest of us by complaining. I've played the game since launch and I'm always running out of gil because I actually use it for things. Any collector, completionist, or person who wants to not waste time on something will be spending tons of gil on the market board. I feel like the only people who whine about not having anything to spend gil on are people who mainly care about raiding, which already makes them the minority. If they didn't care to spend gil before, why would they spend it on a, supposedly, ridiculously expensive mount?
I suggest a new idea for people who don't care for spending gil in any market, but has a ton. Make a new Blue Mage spell: Gil Toss. Solves that problem. As long as they give the damage an upper limit based on level or duty it won't be completely broken and purely optional.
In before people buy both of the golden mounts day 1 and then start complaining that there isn't anything to buy. I mean, we literally have people in game with a billion gil. Single time mount purchases aren't going to solve the legacy player gil problem, especially since many of those players have the ways and means to easily gain back the gil they spend anyway. Oh, and before we go in on YoshiP saying "These mounts are expensive!" we need to reconcile that they also say every single new dungeon that comes out is labelled as "challenging." "Expensive" is relative.
I know the slides said may 15 and 16 for fanfest but I believe that is Japanese date/time.
That means in the US itās may 14 and 15 just like the Fanfest website says. Just an FYI. People might be confused.

Muahaha! I've stopped collecting gil because I didn't really need much and now I probably won't be able to afford those mounts. Time to start making money again. This actually kinda makes me happy.

I'm kind of upset with the sheer amount of time they're expecting people to put in for the relics with the expansion so close. I feel compelled to do mine but they all cause burnout because doing fates for 8 hours or the same raid instance for the same amount of time is dull. These weapons need to be made to feel important again and stop catering to the 2% of world first savage raiders who cryed about the fact that a weapon that takes significantly more time to acquire being better then savage weapons

Honestly i missed the crafter updates i think i was already losing my brains by then cause it was almost 1 am by the time i was still watching – NO I DIDNT DREAM OF OREOS IN THE END XD
I honestly donāt know what to feel excited about with all this. The only thing I feel I understand with what was covered was the Ishguard Restoration since Iām still a sprout š± at lvl 63 doing Ishguard stuff. I havenāt played much in last 6 weeks as been taking a bit of break and since getting through complete story of ARR. Mounts is not a big thing for me either. So there arenāt much I feel I understand or reason to feel excited.
Disappointed Gil mounts are reskins.

this really sucks honestly….. its already really hard making gil in the game because competing on marketboard with bots is impossible. they'll crash something down to 1000gil and its worth 100k, i've seen it before, and this is with peoples current lack of interest in gil because theres no reason for it once u get ur levels and gear other then housing. if people proactively farm mat gathering then therell be even more people to compete with. they need to deal with the bots on MB first before worrying about more gil sinks
I just hope they NEVER rework the new mounts price reducing it in the future just like they did with Houses. I'm going to get really upset if i spend my Gil on the New mounts and some months later they cut the price by half, i also hope that's not highly expensive, like, over 10m Gil š¤.
Regalia has never been on the mog station as far as i know its more likely stuff like lightning returns gear
There's something I really can't wrap my mind around, about FFXIV: with loading time afflicting any change of zone, especially on PS4 or PCs with a mechanical drive, why can't Square implement teleportation straight to an area's shard instead of having to port to its main crystal first?
I REALLY hope SE fixes sizing of the "default group" in the chat window when at 4k and 300% font scaling. For example, if in "Alliance" chat the word "Alliance" overlaps the bottom line of text in the chat window. This gets much worse when the text for the selected chat group is longer (ex. a cross-world linkshell)

Unless these mounts cost Gil cap or literally use Gil as fuel Iām not sure if itāll really make a difference
btw, in regards to comments about maintenance times next week. Any time they add new weekly currencies or drops the servers WILL NOT go back up before weekly reset, even if maintenance technically ends early. The final part of YoRHa raid will have a weekly currency, drop, and quest associated with it.
Am I the only one that wants this to be the last expansion? I feel like getting off this engine even if the story continues in a new game would be preferable to having to deal with the dated back ends like the glamour system and armory chest limitations and whatnot.
Plus why don't they just unlock every housing item and give us a z-axis control already? Why try to replicate bugs over that?
Oh great, more RNG Recipes. I wish they would stop replacing complexity and interactivity with more RNG. There are good ideas with the Expert Recipes that they could turn into a really great system that is both challenging and fun, but they instead just rely on RNG.
