Happy new year everyone! I got some new recording gear at the end of December so I wanted to try it out in the remake. Let me know what you think, I’m trying to go from broke recordings to amateur studio levels. I’m glad I was able to get this out after Endwalker took massive liberties with the lore. But hopefully the Echo doesn’t change any more than it already has!

( spoiler alert 4 endwalker)I like to imagine whoever awoken the echo in them they see the final days of the ancients and if more umbral calamities happen we will probably get the ability to create stuff like the Ancients did but that's too risky
Another delightful lesson, if I do say so myself! Your lectures are always both rousing and impressively researched, especially given the taboo of discussing the nature of the echo and what it's power means, given the often calamitous events that are to follow after it manifests in the people en masse.

I have been ever impressed by the lifelike behavior and craftsmanship that goes into the construction of Mammets, which both find their way into society as laborers, pets, and even fashion statements! I've often wondered where the art of modern mammeteering got it's start, how mammets function, and how we've gotten to the point where Mammets can so seamlessly imitate such lifelike things as animals and effigies of individuals of great import?
I think you're confused on the Endwalker thingy, it is stated on the wiki that whoever awakens the echo also gets Hydaelyn blessing of light, since she knew whoever awaken it could be the saviour of the world, she just didn't know who until she met you. Even Zenos has it since he said he has had visions of the final days since childhood, and then even more with the resonance.
Kind of the undead prophecy on Dark Souls, anyone would have been the hero, it just so happens to be you xD

Mikoto's Echo is the most peculiar, because given what we know now in Endwalker (spoiler explanation below) that instead of peering into the past but the future instead, it doesn't make sense.

… Because one of the Echo's abilities is basically an ancient's old ability to interact with the memory aether imprinted in the surroundings by piecing together the "ripples" scattered in the ambient aether and in turn peer through "history". The other is also tapping with someone else's memory aether as they are recalling.
How something that has yet to exist be readable is still beyond reason.
(Endwalker spoilers) I wonder if the Power of Transcendent Words is the sundered form of the same power that a certain blue entelechy has. She uses it to communicate in much the same way.
