I seriously think the best way for Blizzard to make some money now is to rent out servers to SquareEnix. They have empty servers and SE needs more, especially in NA. Their game is clearly inferior but this way they can at least still make a profit.
Still better transparency than ActiBlizz.
The sad thing is that I've genuinely seen people suggest that on both reddit and the official forums, to add an option to skip queue for a big sum of money. I'm just glad the XIV devs have less short-term profit in mind than a certain fruit-themed game…
