  1. it’s 100% ignorance as well as straight up snob/gate keeping mentality. I also think that people have a hatred towards streamers ESPECIALLY those who came from WOW. personally I saw the right amount of prog as someone who loves watching Rich and as someone who’s never done the fight.

  2. The thing is your right ucob isn't that hard. None of them are that hard anymore. You have to admit though he ran with some of the best players in the game. The average new sprout will not have a similar experience to Rich, so it does kind of set an unrealistic expectation of the real difficultly of the fight.

  3. People really sour about his Clear? Some players need to grow the fuck up and just enjoy the game THEIR OWN WAY.

Do I think its fair? No. Does streamers have a better advantage cause of their popularity? Of course. The world is never fair, plain and simple.

  4. They did it for more views (Rin and happy) and all the smaller streamers suck up to the bigger ones to grow their own stream but yea it is what it is get over it lol Rich is SUPER fun to batch but the fact of the matter is they called out so much I could do this fight blind if I had someone like that doing call-outs.

  5. My opinion as a triple legend, I think it gives a false idea of the ultimate content.

Rich had a lot of help and clearly couldn't reclear it without a good caller and dream team.
I think it's getting him used to an easier mode than expected, he might have a lot of trouble if he decides to go for Thordan when it is released. (Cause big players already have a roster and this time it gonna be really different experience than god team)

But, I admit that because of the streaming show, he can't afford to prog for several weeks, but I think that takes away all the fun of those fights, like learning Nael's lines, and having the fun of a kill with a long effort. I also hope that he will take the time to learn the mechanics of TEA (Nissi etc) and not just be a post that people go shopping on.

It seems Asmong wants to clear the ultimates with a team that doesn't have clear, I can't wait to see that because it will be the REAL ultimate experience. Limit maxximum is currently doing blind on the Eden tier, and it's really much more interesting to watch.

Finally i think a lot of people are disappointed that Rich haven't feel by himself the excitement that all savage / ultimate raiders have experienced, he just want to clear it fast (like PL savage, etc), and yes, this is not the best way to do it if you want enjoy the game. It's like the MSQ, once you do, you want to share the lived experience with others and see how they react, and you are disappointed with those who take a booster , it's the same idea.

  6. I would definitely say streamer privilege for sure got him extremely good support for that fight. I got about 80 UCOB kills and the difference between having 7 new people vs 1 new person is big. On top of that Rich being the only new person, his team was Hella stacked. Rin and Sfia both have world Seconds/Firsts, Sakima Artorian, Steph sephora, Momo sama I think all have top 20 world clears. Delaney Orgles I know can parse easily 99% and MR happy I know can parse 95+%. I think he's an entertainer first and if he spent to long on the fight chat members would leave which is why he got a stacked group but if it was 8/8 new im sure the struggle would have been much more real since others would have been learning along with him. From what I heard they only spent about 11 prog hours on it. Even some parts I saw he got rescued into mechanics and Rin called thunder/doom out for him when he got it. I see why people are saying he got carried and tbh it borderline almost is carrying however, The only reason I'm not saying he did get carried is the last few pulls I saw he was doing the mechanics correctly eventually (despite dieing on his clear pull). His struggle was a lot less painful then 8/8 new group but regardless I do think he would have done it either way and he still deserved the clear. 8/8 would have just taken longer. Surprised Rich got a group that stacked, Not surprised Rin was in it though, been in a bunch of my ucob groups i helped and said he has over 430+ clears with a large amount of them being all new fresh people from start to finish. ff14 community is insanely nice.

  7. Being a streamer like Rick speeds up the entire process, both finding people and doing the fight. I'm really happy for him. but there is a certain "streamer privilege" part. Maybe not about "being carried" but still there is a really strong privilege even just from the "I want to do the fight, let's try to find a static". When it comes to Ultimate fights, even just finding a party to try to close the fight can be as hard as closing it, because it's extremely difficult to find 7 other people with the time and the will to go on trying it for weeks/months. But when you are a streamer, you have an audience watching you and you literally find people without any efford and without any problems. That's a HUUUGE help. Expecially because they're going to appear in the stream with you, so you have a 90% warranty that they are strong players and that they are able to do the fight (and so """carry""" you/helping you faster), because nobody wants to appear in a big streamer's live and do a bad figure.
And he is lucky because there is no "streamer curse", at least not when it comes to this type of contents, because these are hard contents and no one expects a streamer to be able to complete them in no time, so the streamer does not have that kind of pressure to do it fast. At least not if he is a well-manned streamer who don't create hype and scream about his big d*ck every day like Asmongold.

  8. I love the people bitching about experienced players coaching Rich and telling about mechanics. WTF do you think looking up a freaking guide is?! IT'S LITERALLY EXPERIENCED PLAYERS TELLING YOU HOW TO DO A FIGHT! Hypocrites the lot of them.

  9. Havent watched a single stream from Rich. A handful from asmond tho. Was he actually carried? Maybe. Maybe not. Does that even matter? Nah. People need to stop being negative against anyone clearing stuff easier/faster/ less toxic than them. With all the tones of good things this community offers, and i could tell a bunch of positive stories, but this is clearly the dark side of ff14. Stop being jealous people. Its a freaking videogame. And we crying over PVE content

  10. You earned a sub out of this one.

The whole Drama is pathetic and pointless.

People are butthurt that an ex-wow player comes into their game, puts out a lot of entertaining content ( ergo, promoting the game ), and completes fights that they :

    A ) Didn't do
    B ) Can't Do
C ) Need to pay to do
    D ) Suffered through

Why should the pain be shared? WHY ?

Even if he got carried in TEA, so what? How does that affect your gameplay ? Your enjoyment ?
Why do people care about carries ? Do you think it diminishes your accomplishments? IT DOESN'T.

You should feel good about yourself for doing that content. Not that it was brutal and painful so everyone should suffer like you did.
That kind of mentality requires a brain check.

It's not even as "bad" as in WoW, where you can literally stay dead, while a carry group kills the boss for you.
Anyone that actually plays FF knows that any player, in a raid comp, needs to have a minimum set of skills and attention to pull it off. MINIMUM

As long as he has those skills ( and he is miles above an average player imho – remember, he does stupid shiat on purpose for Stream/entertainment purposes – just like asmon ), why shouldn't he clear?

Why do you want Streamers to get RANDOM PUGs, of people that NEVER DONE IT BEFORE, when "you" guys ( the people demanding that ), probably had a FIXED group / Static, of knowledgeable players that went and memorized youtube video guides?

    Pathetic.

If you don't like the way he plays, don't watch the stream. Simple. Don't sub, don't prime, don't gift. whatever.

Most of the people crying about this, are people that forgot what having fun in the game actually looks like and feels like. And if you look at Rich's face upon the clear, That is exactly what fun and happiness looks like, when playing a game that you're actually ENJOYING.

Rich+Asmon, despite being recognized as WoW players, have done more for FFXIV in a few months, than most of the people that complain about this crap have ever done, combined.

Get a grip and be happy your game is doing so well and getting so much of the attention it deserves.

Final Note : At least he didn't get piloted like a lot of people did. That already says a LOT.

  11. Holding streamers to an unrealistic standards is weird. Many people are in FC’s with strong/experienced playeds often get carried through hard content, and are often taught with callouts. My FC provides learning nights to our members for hard content. Which essentially similar to Rich getting their clear? A lot of people get carried through content. I think people just want to shit on Rich and no other reason. People just often have unhealthy relationships woth streamers to begin with.

  12. A lot of the people seems to be raging over the wrong thing. Like i said before, clearing ultimate is hard, even with buying clears or from help group. It will not make it necessarily easier, a help group just meant u do not have to worry about coordination with others (because ppl in help groups are expert in ultimate), just mind your own business and know your part.

  13. If ppl have an issue that rich or asmon getting carried to a certain degree and they didnt.Maybe these ppl should start streaming, get kinda successful with it and then grab an “old“ mmo. Then even you can get carried thanks to that juicy streamer bonus. If thats not your thing stop crying and let them play the game!
