[FFXIV] Endwalker Red Mage Opener and Rotation PoV

Point of view of a 6.0 RDM rotation being done with a 2.5s GCD.
Level 90 RDM Guide can be found here: https://bit.ly/3JsIdMZ
Do note that aside from Manafication and buff windows, your melee combo is flexible and can be used whenever is best for reasons such as movement.

  1. I usually delay the second manafication till embolden is ready again to get a double melee under embolden. The question is just: is it a dps gain or loss? I got some top 30 placements in the normal raids by doing so, i just have no idea if i should just use everything as it comes off cooldown or if the manafication plus embolden combo is better. Also another question i have is: when is the best time to use your melee combo? I usually go for it asap. I know if there is a ninja with trick i should go melee in a 60 second rhythm, but what if there is no ninja? Is there something like a recommended amount of mana you should have accumulated? Would be nice if you could answer some of my questions 🙂

  2. First thank you for this video. I haven’t been able to get past a 70+ parse so this will definitely help. I have a couple of questions tho. I noticed that you used accelerate on a skill that already had a proc. Is that recommend? Also when to use engagement and corpse? Just keep them on cooldown?

  3. You’re one of the mentors from the Balance, yeah? Lol I think you answered one of my questions a few weeks ago. Dropping a sub 🙂 as a newer FF14 player stuff like this is such a life saver

  4. Question! At 2:28 you could have gone into a melee combo so the first few hits of it are within the embolden Window. Why did you decide to go into more mana gathering rather than the melee? Is it better to generate at that point, is it not worth using the melee combo only if the first three hits get the embolden? I'd love to know the reasoning. Ty for this video, super good!

  5. Appreciate the video! If I'm not mistaken, it looked like you were typically using one cast of Acceleration ROUGHLY around when it had 10 seconds left on recharge, I understand that's because you want to always keep charge rolling. Any particular reason you do it then, though? Also I've noted that beyond the opener, you use Fleche and Contre Sixte essentially on cooldown, Fresh 90 as I am, I thought to hold them for melee combo, but I see otherwise now. Then Corps-a-corps and Engagement… Those ones I'm not entirely sure on when to use, it looked like basically on cooldown (again with the whole 'keep the charges rolling' idea in mind).
