Just felt like pointing out, that the moon being tidally locked, doesn't mean it doesn't spin, it means that it takes the same amount of time for it to rotate once as it does for it to orbit once, which is how it's always the same side facing the earth, if it didn't spin when it orbitted earth, we'd get to see the whole moon, not just the face we do. 🙂

The moon DOES spin on it's axis. The difference is that it spins at almost the exact rate which it revolves around the earth, hence why we only ever see the same face of the moon
