  1. That's the exact combo I do minus the food/potions since I couldn't fit it in there. Really cool to see people sticking to Ninja even though it's getting some criticisms right now. I mainly play Dragoon which is also kinda disliked. I hear "it's just a worse Reaper" constantly.

  2. I've been a NIN main since ARR and I wont stop playing it but its true that right now it prety meh.. Its sad since its clear they can do a good job like they've don with PAL and SAM. NIN on the other hand gets a super cool ability that forces you to spend it or else you lose it and it esentialy stuns you, this makes it very restrictive and to top it of the dps is barely above BRD, so yeah I love the job for what it is but it feels like playing a stump and not a ninja.

  3. Thank you for this! I've been hearing such bad things about NIN but I wanted to see a video showing what they're like at 90 as I'm trying to pick a dps to play as (as I normally heal). I got SMN to 90 first and regret it – the low damage I can just about accept but the fact it's so boring is just so hard to ignore!

    Also can anyone tell me what chest piece is being used here because oh good lord it looks so good! <3

  4. As a new player god I love those rajus. I really hope they don't remove the double jump. Would be cool to use skills after the first jump let's say. Add hutongain 5-10s and slightly/or slightly increase base damage and oof. So good.
    Cleared several time ew ex1 today and I can't even imagine without those gap closers

  5. The problem is the effort it takes to play ninja, it is difficult and very punitive for an unsatisfactory result atm. In the rotation you made a mistake, you used bhava before the third bunshin, that's why you found yourself lost when you used ta. These mistakes happen on training dummies, let alone in a real fight.

  6. I feel like I need to make a point that the ShB opener is losing all you ninjas potency. Y’all wasting bunshin on your 123 melee combo with your shadows when you’ll do MORE damage using bunshin on your Raijus. Read what bunshin does, it does not carry over combo potencys, your 123 combo is just barely the same overall potency as you’re first Raiju.. I’m telling y’all just try the opener without without your melee combo use TA on 3rd GCD.

  7. Great thing about XIV is the job balancing is done really well and all content can be cleared by all jobs. A great ninja player can do a lot more than a struggling samurai or black mage. And as you said, changes will be made, and trick attack will always be valued highly.

  8. So.. I dont think Ninja is "Bad" right now. No one argues that. The problem people have with Ninja is it is clunky as hell to play. Raiju is clunky (Gap closer on on the GCD with low potency), Phantom Kamaitachi uses a Bunshin stack which makes it a very minor upgrade on potency as opposed to just using Aeolian Edge, etc… I think they need more attention than any other class right now. I mean look at Monk (My Main), they have the same effect as Trick Attack (Given Longer cooldown), and do a ton more damage than Ninja. This makes them on top of rDPS above Ninja.. which isnt right IMO.
    To move ninja up my only suggestion is (Like you said), take the gap closer away from the second Raiju.. which will add decision making. Stop using a Bunshin stack with Phantom kamatachi, and perhaps take Raiju off the GCD. If you took it off the GCD, ninjas DPS would go up a ton, and fix two complaints in one.

    Just my opinion, if you are having fun with ninja, keep at it. I am sure they will get some love.
