  1. Scholar is the only healer I use despite having all to 80. I agree that it needs some more love, but I wouldn't go as far to call it bad or awful. To me, it requires more thought and management compared to the other two, which makes it more fun. Yes, it was dumbed down since the good 'ol days, but it's the the most fun in spite of that. If AST ever got unique card effects back then that would become the most fun job. Hopefully, Sage has a nice balance between gauge management, oGCDs, party support, and more than one damage button.

My biggest wish, more than anything when it comes to healing, is to allow shields to stack. It was always a pain in the ass to be paired with another SCH. It would only make things worse to pair Scholar and Sage or Sage and Sage unless they tweak that aspect. Other healers can stack multiple regens on players, so why not shields? Even if the extra shields have diminishing returns to keep it balanced for mechanics, anything at all to not make two shield healers not be redundant would be nice.

  2. How I think shield/regen healing should work, is based on how SCH has two types of shields, Galvanise and Catalyse. One is a 'base' shield that is exclusive (they don't stack) the other is a secondary shield that can stack. The shield healers will each have a non-stacking base shield, while ALL healers will have some capability to apply secondary stacking shields. While the shield healers can chose to forego those secondary shields for regens or pure heals if needed. That way if you get two shield healers, one can regen instead of bonus shield, while if you get two 'pure' healers, one can use their 'secondary' shield. We've seen that WHM is getting a new shield spell of some kind, so this might not be too far off the mark.

  3. Really like seeing you guys pull in some quality guests. Always fun to hear you 2 discuss topics with others in the community. Really creates a cooperative community for your viewers to experience other content creators. I enjoy finding new creators, but still think you guys are my favorite.

  4. About the Ast "losing" their sects. I think they could become either cds or just stances but give just their 2.0 additional effects. Casting speed for diurnal and healing power for nocturnal

  5. What I'm hoping for pug monk is either only having just one elemental stance or adding additional effects. Health regen with earth, skill speed with wind etc. Also a buff to second wind because it's only slightly helpful at the level I'm at. Another idea is having the flowless skills becoming finishing moves depending on which string you choose, that'd be neat.

Also something that gives thaumaturge either a defensive buff or a way to push enemies away because getting interrupted when casting a spell, even when you stop moving. Gets annoying fast.

  6. As someone who is new to the game, I'm in the back half of 2.0 currently, I had no idea there was apparently this much drama around the jobs in this game. I figured that was mainly a WoW thing considering how much I hear about how the jobs in FFXIV are a lot better balanced compared to the WoW classes. It would seem though as if they've sacrificed certain aspects of the job gameplay for other things, such as balance, at least in some cases, maybe not all. I'm leveling a Bard right now, and I'm disappointed to hear that it's apparently not in a great spot currently, so hopefully that'll change for Endwalker.

  7. hate to tell meoni if you casting healers as sch after they lost health and not shields your doing it all wrong, sch is proactive not reactive like whm so yes it is your play style that cause the problem not the job itself. it fine if it not your play style but do not say it the job is bad when your playing it wrong.

  8. The 2 new classes are cool for sure, but I am looking forward to what all of my jobs will evolve to at 90.

I may be alone on this, but I do kind of wish we will get some kind specializations for jobs. I do understand that thatā€™s not what FF14 is, but if Iā€™m playing SMN and Iā€™m in a duty with another SMN I want to be unique from the other. To be honest, I canā€™t make myself play SAM, BLM and White Mage. Why? Because my best friend who I always am grouped with play those 3 jobs primarily. I have zero motivation to level any of those 3 classes for the soul reason that my friend and I couldnā€™t be in anyway unique other then glam. I want to level up all those 3 classes, but I canā€™t find the motivation for that reason. Why does every single job have to be exactly the same? So none of our WoL or WoD added any flair to their jobs as they leveled up and all? Maybe a better and more expanded version of the old cross skill system maybe? Maybe specializations can be all about different traits if passives to direct the play style another direction other then just forward. Chris, Brian and Mioni do any of you have thoughts about this? Iā€™m just curious. Yay? Nay? Maybe?

  9. It's a delicate balance. You want your choice of job to feel like it matters, like you are bringing something somewhat unique to your group, but you don't want it to matter so much that some content seems designed to foil that choice. I think we leaned a little too far towards the latter in ShB, and as we try to find that balance I think they need to add some weight to the former side of the scale.

  10. I think Scholar would really benefit from ā€œEmbraceā€ getting an upgrade. Itā€™s been the same base fairy action since forever. I hope there is a fair bit of skill evolution more than new skills. Upgrade our existing skills more

  11. Im expecting summoner to follow the same exact formula as every single expansion. Summoner gets changes that make it brokenly OP and then its nerfed 8 patches in a row. My friend gets so pissed about it every time it happens lol.
