I thought Panhaima would be more situational but the fact that nearly every Endwalker trial has some kind of Akh Morn makes me thankful it exists.
Man this video makes me realize just how bad my dungeon sages have been. I've thought sage was week ever since I hit 90 because I have to hallowed every dungeon. đ guess not
I never use Taurochole.
Thanks for the video. But as a sch main, sage plays identical. Except sage has a worse fairy due to how kardia works.
I love how quickly you can react with GCD shields. As a Scholar, thanks to the cast time, you can't react quickly enough, your shields aren't there on time. And as a Sage, you even get an Addersting back while the Scholar gets nothing.
Getting something back for GCD shielding makes one hell of a difference.
I underestimated how low the Sage mobility is when you refuse to lose damage. I wished Iccarus had a lower cooldown. I always feel like there are 5 to 10 seconds left when I want to use it.
But being able to GCD heal on the move makes up for it.
the switch is cool i definitely wont be toxic with that
Why are you saying Kerachole heaing potency is 500 when it is actually 100?
As a new player who picked up WHM I'm starting to feel like I picked the wrong healer , everyone keeps saying it's astro/sage meta I think I'll just pick up astro sigh..
-chol-E dies inside
Kardia is useless. It will never keep up with incoming damage on the tank. And the time you take to throw it on a dps and cast a few attacks, you could have just casted a single heal on them for way more healing.
It's like you've never played sage before and are just reading skill descriptions.
Did you really just call sage the healer with the least mobility?
between Kerachole and Taurochole you can actually keep near permanent uptime of 10% dmg decrease on tanks. When you think about that coupled with their own cooldowns, that's absolutely bonkers towards eHP, and damage prevented.
Ikarus can be used to undo the knockback effect of certain bosses and mechs. Has less recast time than Surecast so it comes pretty handy with those.
Leveled Sage to 90… My experience is the opposite of yours. I find Sage weak. In the Endwalker and even Shadowbringers dungeons, big pulls simply weren't doable. In the 89 dungeon I ran, a Red Mage did more healing.
I feel like Sage is intended to heal AND shield AND damage, but it doesn't do any one of those well enough.
Sage has poor "crisis" heals and its shields are eaten through too quickly. Kardia doesn't get enough healing from the damage to be worth much. Any time I do any damage, I'm stressed that I wasted valuable time that could have been spent healing or shielding.
Overall, SGE feels undertuned to me and doesn't do either healing or shielding enough to stand next to other healers.
The only thing I personally think that Sage needs is a boost in the base potency of the Kardion effect, and not by a crazy amount but it feels a lot weaker than the fairyâs auto heal on SCH. Past that, the thing that I really WANT on Sage is either a second charge of Icarus or a shorter cooldown (20-25 seconds). I absolutely love the ability but given that most other jobs in the game get more uses on their movement abilities I want the same. So many crazy things happen in this game that not having movement up at least every 30 seconds makes me anxious.
why Astrologian last? :'(
Adders gall would be great if you could store 1 stack with an ability to use at any point and/or the bar could raise but pauses at max if you are at max stacks so when you spend one it instantly fills the rest of the way up and grants you another stack and starts filling the bar again. Something where you don't feel like you can't keep 3 charges saved up unless they give an excog like effect to spend it on
I think sage is way too overpowered. They have weaknesses on paper, but they rarely are actually a downside in most content.
âThe healer with the least mobilityâ white mage wants to know where the fuck you got that idea from
Meanwhile did we talk about SCH got a straight easy drop of at least 1000 potency equivalent heal and shield on single target, and about 500 potency loss on aoe heal.
wait, Toxikon is a dps lost? i thought it was suppose to be our "blood lilies" mech? /shrug đ
I found sage confusing at first but after doing a few duties you get used to it quite quickly. Itâs great fun and am levelling it now after finishing EW with my main
For me, I've been using Eukrasian Diagnosis whenever I see a tankbuster, and I think that if the potency for Toxicon was higher, like 450, it would fix the issue. That's just me, and I'm by no means a good healer.
