  1. I had fun during this moment. But it wasn't the same kind of fun that you'd experience from just playing a game. If I was on my characters place, i imagine this moment probably would have been when they had the most fun across their entire journey. No anger, no pain, no regrets… just pure, unbridled, joy and happiness as we spar with a loved one. Oh gods I'm going to cry again.

  2. This quest had the strangest kind of nostalgia… Dueling with a friend we've never truly met–and yet we have. In three different ways. Once as Azem, once as the Warrior of Light with Hydaelyn, and once in Elpis. Venat is a stranger to us in all of these ways by the time we've been sundered, and yet there's this kinship that can't be denied.

Unashamed to say that I cried during this fight, because I knew, then and there, that we'd have to kill Hydaelyn. This fight was a prelude to that.

  3. The sad part is that the opening of the song ''welcome and well met my brave little spark'' becomes more depressing when you realize Hydaelin watched possibly 300 different lifetimes of your soul before she came across the one that she hopes went to elpis, and when you call her by her name she knows you have and a tear is shed that the rivers of both timelines have finally converged again.

  4. i'd love to hear more about the adventures of the past Azems, in ancient Ethierys. I fell in love with Venat as a character, and even though we only heard about Azem through the musings of Venat, Emet, and Hythlodaeus, you could really tell the whole group shared a really special friendship.

which makes the Final Days that much more painful.

  5. Here to say Venat seeing all these versions of the WoL prevail ans fail but still have hope is a reflection of ranjit and the generations of minfillia only he lost hope and venat did not even as hydaelyn she held out until we could overthrow an elder primal god, two of them and seek the answer to lifes question hermes posed through meteion.
This story theme is very simple yet extremely complex in its execution. 12/10 doesnt describe it

  6. One of the greatest songs in the game … at least in my opinion. Everytime this or the normal version of Flow kicked in, I knew it's time for me to get ready to get teary eyes. What an adventure it has been from 2.0 to 6.0… I will never forget what I've experienced in FFXIV and what kind of emotions I was feeling during my adventure in the game. Especially after the ending of the story, I was feeling very sad, yet I'm still trying to "stand tall, because our journey will never end". πŸ™‚

I'm so glad, that I've listened to my friend, back in 2.0 times, when he recommended the game to me. It was one of my best decisions to start playing FFXIV. Besides the story I was witnessing, I've gained many new friends, I was doing fun stuff and I have a virtual place which I can call a second home and return to everytime I have some free time to spend. πŸ˜€
