  1. I'm so glad that I switched to Gunbreaker. I will never, ever, switch to any other job again outside of leveling alt jobs to 90 and leave them forever. Those "changes" and new abilities feel so natural to me. I'm actually in love.

The only thing that bothers me is – if Burst Strike is still 500 potency, why should we use Double Down when we can use two Burst Strikes + two Continuations instead? Yeah, you have to use two GCDs but the damage per Cartridge spend is higher than using Double Down…

  2. When they head the name of the new gunbreaker skill, did anyone think about KFC’s unholy abomination of a sandwich where they replaced the buns with chicken patties? Because that’s where my mind went. Time to work on my Colonel Sanders glam so I can start handing out Double Downs when early release hits.

  3. GNB enjoyer here, thanks for this video, short and straight to the point, loving the "changes" (feel more like GNB got refinement instead of changes). Look forward to your EW videos!

  4. Can I get your thoughts on something MrHappy? I'm worried that the Gnashing Fang combo will no longer feel as good to execute because of its reduced importance in the GNB's dps.

Don't get me wrong, it's still good damage, but it's clear that a big part of potency being trimmed in GNB's case was specifically to allow for the massive 1200 potency of Double Down.

To use an exaggerated example, let's say that the Gnashing Fang combo only deals 20% more damage than your regular 1-2-3 combo. Even though nothing about it has changed mechanically, the same buttons no longer feel as fun to press because they make up a smaller portion of your power.

I know well have to wait and see, but is that a valid concern at all?

  5. This honestly looks amazing! Just more of what makes GNB so cool. Will definitely be my tank of choice. Just can't wait in a few expansions from now when we have a full circle of cartridges.

  6. You said we make gnashing one button to make room for our new 'skills'. There is ONE new skill that needs to be bound, lost two buttons gained one. I don't see what the point of that really was. I personally find dragoon way harder in terms of buttons than gnb right now(not that dragoon should be simplified) yet for some reason everyone loves this change. I'm lost. I get that the combo is hard in some content but if anything the hard part is double weaving, which you still have to do so this doesn't really make anything easier for anybody as far as I'm concerned (not that it should) it just seems like an over simplification to me.

  7. Does this mean GBs will now add another 1-2-3 to their opener. Effectively getting off 2 Burst w/hypers & Double Down followed by Cart Charge and 3 Burst w/hypers. That'll be interesting to try and fit into the No Mercy window

  8. The extra cartridge made me hopeful that the rotation won't feel so tight and specific as if currently does, but I'm wondering if the addition of Double Down just negates it. I'd think not just off the top of my head, but either way, looking like the best tank to me atm with the loss of Inner Release OGCD weaving. 🙁 Ganshing Fang combo has kind of just usurped Inner Release for me with it's QoL one button change.
