Xeno tackles yet again the Final Fantasy XIV embedded streams subject, the morality of it and how it can hurt the community. In this video Xeno also clarifies some of his points from the previous video and talks about Rin Kariganiâs response. Embedded streams are basically legal view botting and are not good for the platform.

It is B.S., it's no different than how record companies push the artists they want to succeed by padding their album sales. If an artist has a company buy 100,000 albums day one and starts giving out codes to download their album every time someone buys a burger at McDonalds and then counts all of that as album sales, then they get played more and put out there to a bigger audience because the powers that be(the algorithm in this case) thinks they're popular as a result while the actual newer artists that people are actually interested in get pushed out of the search results, is that ok? I don't think it is and it would piss me off if I was a legit streamer.
As a former FFXIV streamer I can say that it's not meant for everyone nor did I feel like I deserved to be anywhere close to anyone else because of "How hard I worked". I was one of those streamers that it was a waste of time to do, so I moved on. Hell hard work isn't even fair for regular jobs so expecting it to be fair for streaming is laughable. Just like you respect the content respect your own time.
Honestly? I don't even watch Rin and never felt like I had too. He has never interested me as a streamer, his personality has never appealed to me, and his stage presence (or lackthereof) has never gotten me interested in anything he has done. Hearing that he likely viewbots and embeds? I can't help, but laugh at the fact that he is paying to have a high view count, but a dead chat đ€·ââïžđ€·ââïžđ€·ââïž
Some people really have brain rot itâs crazy. I really enjoy a lot of your videos and takes on things, it feels like such a fresh perspective.
Playing a bit of devils advocate here, but Rin might be saying the truth when he says it started on the 11th, if you think it from the timezone pov. Rin is American(?), icyveins is European. Icy veins tells rin that embedding starts on 11th European time. Rin streams on 10th US time and its 11th in Europe and blam embedding is enabled on 10th. Also, I dont know how sullygnome works, but timezones might affect how things get recorded there too. Doesn't make anything right/wrong tho.
đ€Łđ – this is only the first layer of whats going on / been going on. Good stuff Xeems
I think the biggest thing that wasnt mentioned is that putting yourself at the top also hurts other streamers, you are cheating your way up while also pushing others down in the category
gun mode, man mode
Asmongold reacted to your video, you should check it out.
Absolutely pathetic behavior from a guy who believes he is deserving or is entitled to more than he has right now. It's not only disrespectful to the people that do watch him now because it makes them feel like they just aren't enough for him, but it also makes any other person who was maybe considering watching his content in the future not wanna do so anymore, and his justification of top of it makes people wanna watch the content even less. He is destroying his own channel and his presence in the community with these actions and you absolutely reap what you sow. Best of luck to Rin in the future, because he's gonna need it after these stupid fucking decisions man if he ever wants to be a respectable figure in the community or grow his channel organically, because the chances that people will mainly remember him as "The guy who viewbotted" are pretty high, and that's not a title that sits well with the majority of people.
Xeno, all the spikes are when you react and the other stuff is when you actually play games. The biggest spikes are the kisses.
xeno would have more viewers than asmongold if he didn't ban the dumb chatters
I never liked Rin. Always felt like something was off with him. I was told that Rin was the one that was telling people that the new Paladin is like Gunbreaker. If true, he's a dumbass and it makes me dislike him even more given now every dumbass Paladin keeps telling me it's like Gunbreaker. A former mod has told me that he is two-faced as hell. This embedding fiasco pretty much puts any shred of respect I have for him in the trash bin.
1. Cute strummer KISSES
2. Is that dark spot on your head just a reflection or is that a hairline, Baldo?
3. I never liked Rin, seen a lot of his unhinged stuff he does that people saved before he deleted the clips/vods. This just makes me not like him more. But this drama, I'm here for love it. But I don't care enough to follow it beyond the videos I see.
There was a weird way Rin said something in his vod, âIâm under the guise that embedded views donât count for monetisationâ. He could have used the wrong word but âguiseâ is not what you say there unless youâre hiding something.
Telling it like it is, this is why we love our bald cute strummer.
"The amount of hours you put in, does not equate to your success" is really not exclusive to content creation 90% of industries people work in lol.
The 10th was the last patch for FFXIV which makes sense for FFXIV players BUT… it is kinda weird that the spike lasted that long.
i know the word gigachad usually means nothing these days but holy you are the real gigachads. and i whole heartedly agree with you. boosting view and fucked other people over and then lie to cover their asses is scummy as fuck. and i would thank you not just as a FF14 fan of the game or strummer like you, but also reminding twitch in general that this is fucked and they have to fix this.. its a stretch but its necessary before even more messed up shit would happen
xffing baldo keeps it real
The 10th was 6.3 patch. It might be possible that he got these views because for that.
i come back for the kisses! MORE KISSESS!!
great take xeems
I appreciate you doing all this and you addressing these issues rather than ignoring them. It is what it is, you are just putting it out there.
I could imagine Rin viewbotting because stopping by his stream once I had to back away because his Custom UI made me want to throw up.
đ
is embedding legal
From one ARR boomer to another, mad respect. Realest MFer in the 14 community.
Lmao of course serens numbers didnât go up on the 10th, they were embedded on the phys ranged pages only and who the fuck is playing that trash đ
Truth = Ban
13:37. nice.
Can anyone link rin's respond video?
The thing is with a lot of these methods is that they only drive up views. There are other metrics that are indicators for success, like engagements (chat comments, channel point redeems, subs and donos). Twitch cares more about these engagements than views simply because they're more reliable metrics, and so does basically every other social media company. When you artificially drive up views you actually hurt your channel in the long run because your view/engagement ratio takes a drastic drop, and instead of fostering a smaller but loyal community that engages with you, twitch sees you as a mid streamer with a low engagement % and your site-wide reach drops, making you reliant on continuous viewbotting/embedding to stay relevant. It's a vicious cycle that only hurts the botter so I don't really care personally about this embedding since it's more likely to be self-sabotage in the long run, though I understand it does drive temporary traffic away from other streamers like yourself in the short term, which I guess is what sparked the debate to begin with.
Everybody knows that the only legitimate way to succeed isn't hard work, it's nepotism, cronyism and favoritism.
"Hours put in does not equate to success"– like shit streaming is unfair. Look at the amount of views corporate vtubers get on debut.
Its crazy how rin tried to play it off as a positive light for him lmfao I also think it was to help him get into the highest viewership before TOP⊠which is just sad
All this drama is absolutely useless. It's only useful to the streamers and youtubers, but it's seriously a waste of our time.
dude I saw rin on the top of the category I was like wait what did I miss how did he pop ? Now I know why lmao
Yea content creation is not a meritocracy.
Networking and the algorhythm are way more important to success than work put into your content.
If you are not algorhythm friendly (aka let's face it a white, conventionally attractive, straight man with no obvious political opinions) and you aren't friends with the "right" people your chances to get recommended to people drop significantly.
You can stream 8 hours every day and have fantastic production quality and do all the "correct" things but if the algorhythm decides "naaaah nobody wants to see your face" you will not get successful.
It really does say something about a person and their integrity. You're showing two people here, one being truthful and the other skirting the lines, lying about it. I love and watch Seren a lot and he's definitely one of the real ones out there. If any of you haven't already, you should definitely check him out. God bless you Xeemo.
Nobody talking about the stream links in game chat
Now talk about how people like rin use their fame and clout to groom underaged girls and how people in his community of friends pass around nudes that they trick girls into sending them. I have personally witnessed these things happening. They are a DISGUSTING group of people. Lets talk about how they have alt accounts (not characters, entirely different accounts) that they run bots on all day. more than 50% of the hardcore community of ff14 are absolute degenerate piles of trash and cheaters and liars and bullies and should have been called out YEARS ago for their bullshit.
Your dsr stream was awesome, canât wait for the new ultimate stream
EMBED THIS BUTTS
XenosysVex has so much testo. Like holy shit! He tanks the bosses in the video game. He tanks nerds on twitter. He has zero hair. What a man! I mean just look at him. Look at his dome. Look at his RAGE. The guy screaming in the background is how I FEEL when I watch XENOSYSVEX!
