Main Scenario Quests
Death Unto Dawn – Part 1
The Scions have finally succeeded in discovering a cure for tempering, which should prove instrumental in allowing the Eorzean Alliance and the land’s beast tribes to settle their differences. Prospects of peace may soon fall to ruin, however, as Fandaniel and the Telophoroi scheme to recreate the Final Days, and ominous towers rise in all corners of the realm. With the servants of chaos amassing at every turn, will the Scions uncover their plot before it is too late?

  1. Wanted to thank you for keeping your VODs up on your twitch, I keep your experience of FF14's story in the background a whole lot during my gaming time. Your passion for great stories always shines through.

  2. Fordola: You have a very narrow view on what it means to be a hero, like heroes are forged in the fires of battle!
Me and my WoL: You forgot the part where what you think is my problem. You have a very narrow scope of what i do! I defend the weak and those who can't defend themselves. “For those we have lost. For those we can yet save."
Also i am with you what i think might happen is interchangeable…Gaius saves Fordola or the reverse.
Tiamat very much would be pissed at another copy of Bahamut. Eventually i hope we find out the true iteration of Bahamut is Bahamut Zero. And that Midgardsormr resurrects his son. As one fuck all bit against the Garlean empire….as for the darkened moon…perhaps we see Zeromus? IS he seriously talking of the FFIV which would be poetic. 10 ff's ago….That and i wonder he means there's a secondary moon like in FFIV. The darkened moon not being the one we see , but the one in its shadow.

So we need an ID in Nier to fuck them over. Hoping for 9S.

  3. Zodiark's in the moon, Jessie. And I am so happy everyone cares so much about Tiamat. I would have given odds most ppl forgot about her before this trailer dropped, but basically every reaction vid is like "TIAMAT?!" This comm rocks. lol

  4. Speaking of the moon and the lead up to visiting it in 6.0: Ain't no one talking about the fact that Feo Ul's name literally means "Treasure Moon/Darkness", probably meant to be poetically taken as Moon's Treasure or somesuch. That cannot be a coincidence.

  5. Only thing I personally feel like is in favor of Fordola’s survival: the fact that she appears in the Summoner’s quest line. Otherwise it would be extremely jarring for people who get this far before picking up the job and then suddenly running into her alive and well after we watch her die. That would be like if Haurchefant appeared in the Paladin’s quests.

  6. The 2 boss fight looking encounters in the Automata hacking space are Hansel & Gretel (Armored creatures with blue and red eyes) and Jack of Hearts (Big tentacly dude). They're bosses in the original Nier, and appear holographic in the trailer. They are most likely conjured by the red girls from the memories of the original Nier's protagonists.
They also played one particular song in the liveletter as a sample of songs in the new raid, Kainé – Salvation. This particular version of the song, however, was a little different and people who've played the original Drakengard might be excited (or afraid) for what it might mean…

  7. Zenos saying he's going to drink a sea of souls reminds me of Kuja having to absorb all the souls on the Invincible at the end of FFIX in order to Trance…

  8. Love ya jesse. Glad you ended up liking FFXIV. For all it's faults, much more fun a ride and far more kind to the playerbase than say, WoW. (though I have some attachment to it too, as I'm sure you do also) Anyways. Good stuff.

  9. Zenos can take control of a primal's body like he did before with shinryu, zodiark is a primal.
zodiark is imprisoned in the moon and the heart of zodiark is dead.
So a brain dead zodiark is imprisoned on the moon, what exactly is stopping zenos from taking control of zodiark's body?
I'd imagine the it's just an issue of logistics, if only someone had some way of getting to the moon.
    maybe involving huge towers?

  10. Yes they are Lunar primals, its been a running theme with final fantasy for awhile now that the darker/color swap/sometime stronger versions of summons are proceeded by Lunar, Lunar Ifrit, Lunar Shiva and so on.
