  1. I dont think the lady talking to thancred is a pelupelu, as their described as being very diminutive is stature and almost never seen without their masks. Other than that, love the trailer!

  2. I wonder why they are hiding Alphinaud. You can see his body for like a frame or two (around 2:04 in the trailer). They showed Alisae so why hide Alphy? Will he change from Sage to a new job?

  3. I fully believe Urianger is looking up to Krile on the top of that building. You can see points like her Cat Hood, so I theorize she is looking at something and she will pull down the hood to reveal her new job due to her focus in 7.0

  4. There are some logistics things I have to point out because people seem to don't really think about it when they shout for Corsair Job. One of my major reasons I say no to Corsair, is because "why, when there is an entire pirate nation, did it take this long to have someone willing to chuck a stone at the WoL?" Heck, as early as Pharos Sirius we had a Pirate with a gun and sword as a boss, then again in Sastosha HM, and a non-enemy in MCH's questline. It's Been there, it hasn't been a thing. The Second of my major Reasons is "Who is the poster boy/girl for the Job?" We know since Krile received an invitation to the New World, she's might be coming with us (Unless she's just sending us as 'Students of Baldesion'), she would be the Ranged Magic DPS that we're to be getting. So what character would be using "Corsair?" Well, we have Erenville. But why would he use a Lominsan-style fighting, when he's primarily associated with Old Sharlayan, and apparently from Tural.

The second issue has been a thing since Stormblood. New Jobs RDM and SAM, Main Characters Alisae and Hein/Gosetsu. Shadowbringers: New Jobs GNB and Dancer, Main Characters Thancred and Lyna. Endwalker: SGE and RPR, Alphinaud and Zenos. Regarding the First Issue, There's an entire brand new continent full of a Tribe (Mamool Ja) who use something akin to Blue Magic, and hunt, trap and tame Beasts to do battle with them. This is something we've known since 2.X. We've Already Had BLU, what else could they Teach us, that is fresh, easily explained as to why the trainer hasn't reached out to us yet (It'll start at lv80, so Tribals would already have started being welcomed into more cities)?

They might've doubled back on Limited Jobs, and instead are making an actual Beast Master/Hunter Job. It fits with Erenville, who was always catching and releasing lost animals, It fits the culture of the New World we're going to. And it's something people have been begging for. If this is the case, I don't think it will be a pet class, instead using Animals as AoE and attacks, like how some bosses in Dungeons use animals attacking as AoE (like the last boss in Xelphatol, who calls down Hornbills to do targeted AoEs).

  5. I noticed on Thancred's map that there are 3 checkmarks, and 2 "X"s, and my theory is these relate roughly to the zones we will visit as we explore the land mass on our treasure hunt adventure. There will be 3 initial zones shown as the hrothgar jungle, the pelupelu mountains, along with the spiky misty coastline that hasn't been shown yet. These match the check markers on his map. the small "x" will be the semi-final zone where whatever plot twist happens will be revealed (ie Elpis in EW), and the big "X" will be the "City of Gold" we are searching for but obviously not what we expect. The unseen 6th zone will be Corvos which is Erenville's home, containing a field zone and the minor city for the expansion (ie Thavnair or the Fringes). It's from there we will set out for the New World, in a similar style to the begining of Stormblood where we spend a bit in an initial zone with the minor city before heading off on our adventure.

  6. I hope that now WOL will finally start smiling again after battle! Also, willing to bet a kidney that the female voice at the end is going to be our fem!Hroth client. Guess we'll see! Also as far as hiding Alphy — I wonder if MAYBE he and Alisaie are getting a little taller?! A little bit of aging?! We only see Alisaie from top-up in the trailer but maybe they hid Alphy because he's getting closer to taller on the WOL. That's the only reason I can think they'd hide him. My most DELUSIONAL #1 prayer/hope is that we get additions to each of the playable races — i.e Ishgardian Elezen, New World Viera, Hingan Roe, Half-Garlean Hyur (SPICY but it wouldn't break ARR lore!?), etc. If only because they could add 2-3 new faces in cc, etc…

Also I would love for the "corsair" supposed class to also pull in some rune fencer abilities, or make it RNG like gambler (kinda how DNC has a little RNG in their abilities).

  7. The Mamool Ja where never under the thrall of primals as far as I know. They were mercenaries from the New World and a bit savage in nature. While never openly antagonistic, they butted heads with the inhabitants of Vylbrand, which is where they landed (makes sense on the New World's geography in relation to Eorzea), on a few occasions. They biggest conflict we have with them is because they had enslaved the Tonberries after the death of the Tonberry King left them in a weakened position and freed from the rancor curse. The Mamool Ja themselves are shocked by this, after all from the outside perspective they where merely subjugating a hostile race.

I think the reasons the Ascians did not bother to teach them the art of Summoning was because either their numbers where too few, being that they where just a foreign war band and their greater number was back in their homeland of the New World, thus the Primal created would be of little strength. Or the Mamool Ja's warrior pride culture had little interest in using a god to obtain glory.

  8. I honestly can't wait for more adventure. More lore. Even stronger lore on Blue Mage as a job and maybe it's history? Also, since New World supposedly has native Hrothgar, I hope to see female Hrothgar since the culture is matriarchal. I think someone said that the voice at the end might be a female hrothgar speaking but who knows. Just excited to see new places and learn about things 😀 Hype is real.
Also, it might not be gray hair but the lighting in which it seemed like gray hair BUT, I guess it's up to us to see if our WoL has silver in their hair. The stress they experienced, wouldn't be surprised xD

  9. If the sword is missing in that scene it's probably cause they also removed whatever other weapon he may have. One of his straps goes down to his hip where the sword is, while the other seems to go a bit higher up on his other side, so it could very likely be a side holster for a gun. I'm not completely ruling out dual swords yet, but I think sword and gun is much more likely

  10. There's actually another good reason why it might be Corsair as well. It was not only released in the 3rd expansion of FF11, but it was released alongside Blue Mage in a treasure expansion with Mamool Ja. Considering the New World is where Blue Mage is from, it's the land of Mamool Ja, and Gulool Ja Ja is the current ruler in both that FF11 expansion and Dawntrail, it seems more than just coincidence

  11. Alphinaud is in the trailer but theyre intentionally hiding him behind objects. he's in the scene where meteor takes off his hood on the boat, he's stand to the right of meteor and you can kind of catch him if you pause fast enough. they gave him the good ol mike wazowski treatment.

  12. I've noticed at several points that there are NPCs with white shirts and suspenders. Two guys behind G'raha Tia and one of the girls Thancred talks to. Given how the look is more working class European rather than any Native american group, I can only assume these guys are Eorzean civilians who are employed (probably as laborers) by some Eorzean group or another in the New World.

  13. WoL's outfit is an almost identical match to Vaan's Sky Pirate outfit in FF Tactics Advance 2.

I've noticed the Yshtola thing too, I have a huge theory on it but goes too deep into speculation tinfoil land have no concrete proof. Let's just say tldr that the ruins to me look very Ronkan-like. Also going off keynote artwork and the original FF5 Ronka sky people lore.

  14. Meteor doing his best Will Turner cosplay. His sword is still there, where people are saying it has been CG removed, it has not… look close and you will see it as the camera pans around. It appears to be missing because you are looking strait down the pommel with his hand wrapped around it. I saw someone mention it in another post, but it would be interesting to see the Corsair as a reverse RDM, up close melee that bounces out fires a pistol and lunges back in… would be a cool take imho. I am certain that they will be sharing the nin job gear, its the only solo set atm. I can't wait to see the EU version, I hope they show Krile and hit at the new caster job. Thanks for the break down and your take!

  15. 14:57 that person behind Graha have to be somebody, right? he's just too much in the shot to be just a random npc. I've watch this trailer a few times and that person just catch my eyes every time. more than the taco in fact. He's just stand out way too much for just a background npc specially for a CGI one. I've watch enough anime openings to recognize some tells.

  16. That fruit at 12:40 I grew up with mum always calling it a Custard Apple they are very nice I can definitely say that. Also a weird little thing to point out is Alphinaud is in the trailer just hidden 20:53 you can see if to the right of WoL behind the light. A weird theory I have now is if the new class is an artist sort of class we know Alphi as someone who does art so what if he is the new class again it would be weird cause it basically means he threw his nouliths in the bin already xD

  17. Just wanted to offer up a correction. I don't think that the Mamool Ja have yet to be depicted as being thralls to any primal. The ones in La Noscea are described as mercenaries without a way home and decide to take up space in the Wonders Palace.
