Oh, we're finally merging the two timelines since the healers on strike have already seen this & played the expansion already but the rest of us haven't
Drop the ball Happs you know you should’ve put time stamps.
Cool, this means odds are that PF will block out samurai or viper because they're both greedy melees with no party buffs. Thanks Yoshi P
Oh, if you're gonna skip over stuff gone over in the media tour then I'll look for a more casual source. Casual sources are way better for casuals because non-casuals assume we're going to pay attention to stuff like the media tour preview for these changes. We don't. If you're trying to bring us into your skill ceiling you'll need to put in more effort to paint a full picture. Otherwise, let's be real, we really don't care THAT much about a proper rotation. If I'm just going to have to read my tooltips anyway, I literally don't need you to read only half or less of them. That's a waste of both our times, and the optimization/efficiency players can eat good, good for them. But i don't care THAT much, to go back & listen to your media tour coverage & memorize/write it down to then compare it to this… 😂 Why. Why are non casuals like this. Just present information the way humankind has been for centuries, rather than reinventing the wheel. This is extremely basic instructional design methodology, idk why specifically WoW & FFXIV content creators struggle with this: this is YOUR day job, not OURS. WE do NOT get paid to know this stuff, that's why we go to you in the first place LMAO
oh wow, they really took the Picto feedback about how it seems very strong and might need some potency adjustments… and doubled downed and made it even stronger? Isn't it just strictly speaking better than BLM or a melee, in every possible situation now?
Square when Astrologian: "Okay I guess you can have a little bit of MP just so you aren't guaranteed to run out"
Square when White Mage: "Here's three more free spells every two minutes, don't let Astrologian or Scholar know"
heheh GNB go bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
So glad machinist is going to finally be good
Man these are… dry
when full patch notes dropped 6am est, Viper & Picto didn't show levels of when they get each action and passive. It was so weird lol.
It’s funny to me that basically every buff was brought up to 20 seconds, except Trick Attack/Kunai’s Bane
One day they'll bring back Manashift as a role action… one day…
GNB and NIN gonna SLAP
Damn, they didn't delete Warrior.
Shit ngl I didn't even know Macrocosmos did damage.
dark new cooldown is good but it’s 120 seconds replacement. we got heart of corundum on 120 seconds 😂😂😂
Now that they've further buffed the potencies of Scattergun and Auto Crossbow and given us an extra bioblaster charge without doing anything to Flamethrower I think we can officially say Flamethrower is a DPS loss now in AOE? As I recall it was already basically DPS neutral in Endwalker so now it's just gotten worse by comparison. Still a cool emote at least? For dancer, I'm confused why they decided to make Tilana give you 50 meter when they just changed stuff like Barrel Stabilizer so you wouldn't have overcap concerns, hoping that's one of the early hot fixes.
To clarify, only non-standard single target is dead for BLM. Non-standard aoe is still a potential potency gain.
Title is misleading. You are only talking about what they adjusted compared to the media tour?
Worth noting, I understand why it was skipped over, but the potency buff for Oracle is pretty significant. Nearly 50% stronger, and was absolutely necessary because of everything else about the job and its changes. Its personal damage output was already the worst among healers, it lost half its damage buff cards, and it just generally didn't get as much in the way of damage buffs for 7.0 as other healers. Terrible MP economy wasn't the only thing that'd leave it DOA, its damage was set to be by far the weakest of every healer as well. The massive Oracle buff I feel still doesn't fully rectify that but definitely at least brings it closer.
As for the concept of followups on healer abilities, speaking as a healer main, I'm neutral on them. Like, Oracle after Divination and Glare IV after Presence of Mind, yes, those I think are fine. Divine Caress after Temperance is conceptually good since I feel like people underutilize Temperance, so locking another skill behind it is a good way to encourage people to use it more liberally, but as mentioned, forcing Divine Caress to be used so closely to Temperance is a little awkward, they probably could've done better with this one. What's utterly baffling though is locking Sun Sign behind Neutral Sect, since Neutral Sect itself gives practically zero benefit to an experienced Astrologian outside of high-end content. It only functions with healing SPELLS, and as mentioned, we barely have the MP to keep up right now, nevermind if we try to start casting Aspected Helios. Neutral Sect can be a decent way to bring people back up if some mistakes have been made, but then the mitigation from Sun Sign has probably already missed the point where you'd want it.
I am SO ready to finally become a Pictomancer!
They need a PTR lol
NIN is op now
6:55
Players: Make Blue Mage a regular job!!
Devs: Make a blue dps you say? Ok, got it
I'm never going to forgive them for getting rid of Plunge, one of Dark Knights coolest animations and replacing it with a wet fart of a Monk dash ripoff, in the same breath they said they want to go back to exploring job identity more. Hypocrites.
Maybe I'm bad at math, but unless rainbow drip into black paint combo is optional filler, doesn't casting two white combos and motifs lower its filler DPS?
So… Healers still shit? But now the only healer with a glimmer of hope had said hope stomped out? Nice.
I surprised no one commented about how the new combo from Delirium now also gives MP whereas it didn't have that in the media tour.
AST is so underwhelming with its lvl 100 it's not even funny. As if the now less shitty cards weren't bad enough.
Not sure why it's more important to compare to media tour numbers specifically rather than live service since it's what people have been raiding with for a while now. Y'all couldn't really do lvl100 content over there, so idk…
It's good to acknowledge I guess but as you've seen with the chat and stuff the actual 6.58->7.0 comparison is more relevant and talked about. It will affect how we all played the jobs until a few days ago vs. the update…
Everybody gangsta making fun of Pictomancer until the full patch notes are out and it is the strongest caster, best put together job, most original, most engaging and best designed job on release lol
me crying into my black mage archmage beard as I cast moogie beam in cutter's cry and oneshot an entire pack of enemies
GBR getting higher potency just makes sense.. the job is only really good (vs the other tanks) if you are consistently getting crits; otherwise it’s an average role at best. The mits are definitely top tier but it’s only really needed in high end play which is not the majority of the player base. It erks me that WAR is so brain dead to use but at least it’s a consistent class.
Gnb potency seems too good to be true. Im anticipating nerfs already in 7.1
idk if anyone feels this way, but happy's disregard to certain parts of the changes kinda takes away the objectivity he usually holds. someone in chat told him oracle was buffed (which was a pretty significant buff at that), and he just scoffs at it because "it only happens every 2 minutes." That's pretty significant considering its all impacted by buffs, yet he made a huge note to macrocosmos and then also disregards it in the same breath saying "with how good it was in the beginning of EW in one instance, you guys will be okay." What's the point of delivering objective news if you'll either downplay or make bigger puddles of stuff? i thought this video was talking about job guide changes objectively, not disregard stuff about jobs you don't really play often lol. and before people grab pitchforks or get emotional, i'm not saying happy is a bad CC by any means or is the worst person in the community for this, he's only human, just giving my opinion on the lack of bias at certain points on this video is all. have fun on launch later tonight 😀
GOTTA BUFF BUNGREAKER
OH NO MACROCOSMOS ISN'T DAMAGE NEUTRAL????? WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH ALL THIS WHO GIVES A FUCK????????????
Sorry but I couldn't disagree more with the DNC changes.
Going back to ShB static SS every 30s with no room for delaying removes all choice and on-the-fly execution of the job; Everything is the same every 2 mins, nothing is dynamic anymore. Plus the Tillana change (without a tech step change) makes our rotation timing worse (back to 119.5s). These just feel like a slapdash change made once they heard about the 0SS rotation.
These are really bad "fixes" to the 0SS "problem" and feel like a step back with the progression of the job's rotation.
Does anyone know if Blood weapon gives more MP per proc to compensate for having 2 less procs?
Lv 90 summons not having auto attack is crazy.
Every sentence sounds like he's asking a question.
It's so annoying.
