  2. I have not tried the ex fights yet, been having so much fun playing PTC. I think I have an opener I am happy with, just a little more practice then I will give ex fights a shot. I am having so much fun. I need to steal the LB3s more.

  3. Good on you for helping newer players.
I think the important message for players struggling is it's okay to fail sometimes.
We go again and that's all you need. It's just like undertale with the power of determination you can always win eventually.

  4. I agree, with the title. I had people wiping to the most simplest stuff.
I even broke it down on how to get through a mini-boss fight. Only for them to continue wiping to it for an hr, when we got on the last boss.
I suggested that they read a guide and learn indicators, because I thought all of them were new to the game.
They ended up getting offended and leaving at the last boss, its a day when I learned, some people actually just do suck that bad at video games.

  5. Yes yes yes yesssssss ❤ If an MMO is too easy it kills the community aspect. The first time I ran Tender Valley we all ran in blind and had SO MUCH FUN with the random PUGs despite wiping multiple times. We chatted, learned, and claimed victory together.

I hadn't felt that since HW or maybe MAYBE Stormblood? But I finally got the fuzzies I remembered so fondly from clearing The Vault back when Charibert followed up his taunts with mechanics that actually hurt you 😂 sigh power creep…

  6. The increase in difficulty as the player progresses through the various expansions is a pretty gentle upwards slope and I feel like by the time you are lvl90+ it should be getting pretty difficult at that point.

  7. My problem hasn't been it's hard, it's not that I can't learn them, I have, it's the months and years of having to put up with doing this day in day out with a revolving door of people that haven't done it yet (that's fine), not trying (not fine), trolls (not fine), bots (they're here) and everything in between for underwhelming rewards, but ones you need to do daily for better rewards.

That, effort right there, is exhausting. I know someone's gonna come in here and think in the short-term and say, some negative thing about getting good and blah, blah, blah, but think for a second; years of this, years of having to do this for tomes. Years.

The difficulty increased, make that worth my goddamn time then! The gear in current expert dungeons is ALREADY OBSOLETE. The earned rewards you currently as I write this, can use tomes on are nearly already obsolete. It's only use is to earn the top tomes for the current soon to be tome gear outside of doing savages. Even the acquirement of said tome gear for those that don't want to step in savages, means nothing with how these currents dungeons are setup.

Deadwalk is still gonna to make a daily expert roulette an exhausting slog to get through as it is. Can't cheese it, can't carry it with gear. If the team can't do it as a group, these random people of varying skills and experiences in the game, with the job, with the content, with all the content, whatever skill of power I've acquired means nothing. We're gonna wipe and again and I'm gonna have face this, everyday for as long as it is a thing. I mean, have people just utterly forgotten about the level boost people that skyrocketed to whatever the max it ia now for money waltzing into these dungeons with the bare min ilvl and a few dozen hours under their belt, for the entire game?!?

It's shortsighted the people rushing into the zone saying "it's not hard! Stop complaining!" I know that's not the point of this video. It's the long term JOB of just playing this game, and to being vastly under compensated for doing it.

  8. There’s too many people, casual and elitest both, that take dying and wiping too seriously and need to learn that it’s just another part of the game and is fine.

Also congrats to your static on the clears, good luck to you all on savage hope you folks have a blast.

  9. Gameplay and story are inseparable. The Zodiark fight WAS the conclusion to the Zodiark story and the fact that they made it less menacing than a red chocobo hurt that story. If you're going to make the fights a joke then don't put us up against anything more threatening than clowns. Alternatively, expect some competence from your playerbase and design fights deserving of a fantasy epic.

  10. This video felt like my brainwaves were siphoned out of my skull and put into a quite entertaining video! Yes, XIV has some challenging things in it. Not impossible, feels easy to learn if you put in the effort, and if you're not up for learning a new thing, there are so many other things to do. Thank you for this! It's easy to forget that trying again after a wipe is an excellent way of learning an instance!

  11. Tbh i love every PvE Content i see until now in DT. The Dungeons, the Raids, Trials, Ex Trials when i just judge the PvE Content compare to EW is DT already now on the best way to be a better AddOn then EW for me.

  13. Agreed. While I love my braindead casual content at times it's totally not something that should be a general difficulty, so having a healthy balance is the way to go. Although, it depends on the player too – some people find mechanics like avoiding quite small circle clearly visible obvious indicator on the floor super hard (which makes me wonder…how do they even managed to install the game with that level of skill) and the other end of the spectrum is also horrible. As a sprout who just finished Endwalker MSQ and started doing the EW alliance and normal raids, I am just surprised how easy they are – compared to Shadowbringers' Nier raids the EW ones feel easy. Looking forward to Dawntrail for something slightly more challenging 🙂

  14. Love this video, I am a huge proponent of "Even though this is end game content just about anyone can actually complete it with time and effort" even though people bitch and moan about not doing everything in your power to ensure victory(parse/materia/jobs) is it really needed ? Hells, No! The idea of the slap up static should be more common, at the same time not wanting your time wasted (which I still struggle to mentally parse that idea while playing literal games) is a concern but to each their own.

As for the average player brain cell count when it comes to doing content, it's always kind of been iffy at times though I have noticed since Endwalker it has gotten more noticeable however it's typically small things like a Tank mitigation spread, DPS not utilizing AoE sometimes or in the case of rule of 2 not just focusing down one target(which this expansion really emphasized). Movement during mechanics, Since release I've been in about 5 multi wipe first Trials, it has consistently been two things add phase and ice mechanics. Yoshi fking help these people because I am literally terrified when I get trials now.

  15. I love the increase in difficulty I tend to mainly heal/tank and occasionally dps and I love the fights all around. I went through MSQ as SCH and loved the up in difficulty 100% I died a lot, learned a lot, but still had an absolute blast 💗

  16. My brain got very smooth, and had a glossy sheen with the content in Endwalker. 7.0 put some wrinkles back into it, made it all scrambly like eggs. That's a good thing. DT is like a big mug of coffee with 2 shots of espresso after a night of heavy drinking, driving home at 100 mph, I can say I haven't nodded off during a single expert dungeon. Cognitive bias aside, I can't really speak for any one else but the battle content is fun, and the music slaps.

  17. Harder? yes. Too hard? no.
If you can clear within 3 wipes in a DF, it's not hard.
I'd say 3 wipes for dungeon & trials, 4 wipes for raid.

Well probably possible if that one person is the cause of the wipe. like tank that don't know how to use tank stance or mit at lv 90. or playing as healer who can't do mechanic, yet insist on using critical job. And there's no RDM or SMN around as safety net. At that point, just play as DPS.

  18. I say this as a major casual player: this difficulty level is perfect! It keeps you on your toes, and honestly this 'increase im difficulty' has made me consider returning to Ex and savage raiding with my FC.
