  1. kinda unsatisfied with his response on the mob field notes, most of the concerns they have arent really concerns since they could literally do it the same way they are doing the sightseeing log, they can hide the mobs and you go around killing mobs which will reveal their data, spoilers imo feel like a non issue. Idk maybe they are trying to use the hunting log for this which is coded weirdly but even for server loads if you store only the log number for players idk it would be such a huge load, but if it was i wouldnt mind being client side since i see it as just extra content that can expand the lore of the game with extra info on mobs, the only detriment of being client side is that you cant get extra rewards like xp or mount, minions when you complete it or other stuff like that.

  2. I'm sorry, but wanting to be able to do the daily roulette with trusts sounds like one of the most selfish requests someone could make in this game.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the bonus of the daily roulette exactly a reward for helping people to do earlier content that yourself already did and not have people stuck at some part of the story because they can't find a party to play it?

It would have a massive effect on the people still playing 4.x and earlier content.

  3. My Idea for MSQ Roulette rework (involves removing it :P)
Castrum turned into 4man lvl 50 dungeon (and moved to that roulette):
Remove first section (up to 1st miniboss normally with magitek armour), you could have NPCs taking that role of killing the armour and you sneak in the way you do normally -> Trash (+dumping that ceruleam)-> 1st MiniBoss -> Cid transfer + Trash -> 2nd Miniboss -> Trash -> Livia maybe combining both two separated phases into one battle, where you need to cannon her hp down to 50% (maybe breaking the armour breaks down the claws and cannons) with the last 50% finishing her off, using NPCs throughout the whole dungeon to make it feel like an 8man.

Praetorium turned into a 4man lvl 50, 8man trial and solo instance
Dungeon 4-man alo moved into 50/60/70/80 roulette:
Trash -> 1st Boss (Collosus) -> Trash to 2nd Boss (Nero moved here before Magitek Armour Part) -> Magitek Armour trash -> Gaius Final boss
Trial: Ultima Weapon (both phases, reduced cutscene turned into scripted in game scene in middle where Lahabrea forces Ultima)
MSQ Solo Instance: Lahabrea fight with NPC allies
With the cutscenes for Gaius getting into Ultima Weapon, and the whole "Such Devastation" cutscenes being moved out party dungeon instances into solo areas where you say unlock/enter the trial and start the solo instance with Lahabrea. Since there would be a break between dungeon and trial too it wouldnt feel as daunting since its split apart and pacing within the dungeon section should hopefully feel better. Its hard to justify why Nero would be before the Magitek Armour part though but since it's not voiced they could do something about it.

    For both:
Obviously enemy hps would have to be scaled down/halved due to half the party members but probably make it also so you can't skip the trash pulls with the teleporters at the start of the dungeon too so it's not too quick and on pace with other lvl50 dungeons. Experience gained from 50/60/70/80 roulette could be increased too to compensate for one less roulette, or maybe slight future proofing by splitting into 50/60 Dungeon and 70/80 dungeon roulettes, Removing/reducing cutscenes too, like having the magitek armour cutscenes in Praetorium removed and have that NPC dialogue as voiced lines in dungeon as your traversing would be better. There could also be the solo player taking the armour key for all instead of each person having to grab the key item. CM has that those cutscenes due to actions you perform which could be shown in dungeon as you play too with NPC text shown out of cutscenes, heck they even added the portraits to the popup NPC dialogues which could be helpful here now . There are quite a few small things like these which would greatly reduce the dungeon times and make it suitable without having to redo voice lines. I'd love it if they redid all of 2.0's voice lines but that would be a ton of effort.

  5. DDO has a monster guide thing, and it's a kind of fun thing to work on. Basically monster manuals, where you kill X amount of specific mobs,, and each tier has various rewards, like titles and pets. Could be fun here, but like you said, other things i'd prefer them to work on, like glamour.

  6. I know a lot of people would consider this too much hassle and unnecessary compared to a button in our menu that we can use whenever we want, but while a personal field guide would be nice, what about some sort of public library in each major city that you can go to to learn more about a mob?

Say for example you pick up the daily hunt bounties and look through them, and see a few mobs that you don't remember the location of. Instead of going to a wiki, you can go to that cities library, or adventurer guild, or something, and look at the roster of mobs, see where they are and what they drop.

Its not as fancy as what I've seen some other people come up with, but that way all you'd have to do to unlock the information on that mob is kill it once, then you can look at its information in that library/adventurer guild for future reference whenever you feel like it should you need to.
