  1. i was memeing last week that we going to go farm 10,000 poetics for the next step. this is just equally boring sadly. oh well free 530 weapon for my alts and probably new bis for old ultimates

  2. Hunt train is great and all but most of them are way too fast and they don't wait I'm ps4 and the mob never renders or i miss it because of load times, so hunt trains aren't as good for me but I wish they were. Plus every time we need more tomestones and creators recommend Hunt trains there is too many people and makes my problems worse

  3. I just do the level 90 dungeon the snow mountain one and get 80 at a time it’s a easy dungeon and a reasonably quick one plus it drops 605 gear if you’re trying to get gear to hold you over until you save up enough tomestones to get the 620 gear.

  4. “I miss Bozja”. Same, Cole. Same. I’m actually disappointed that it’s the same as the first step. I don’t like hating on the devs at all. I’ve defended them the past few patches when others are saying they’re not giving us as much content as they used to, but I have to say, I’m kinda seeing how the patches are coming across as…lazy. I don’t know why exactly, but this was kind of the straw on the camel’s back.

  5. The weapons do not disappoint but the quest does. It could’ve been an added step on the lines of “Do SHB raids/a raids to liven the queue up for them again.

  6. Slight spoilers for the latest Hildibrand adventure below.

Some people may have been disappointed with the grind for the first shiny relic step, but honestly, I'm glad it is the way it is. If this relic grind ends up being relatively easy, I could imagine that it's more of a thank you for sticking not only with FF14 but with Hildibrand as well. In before I get epicly bamboozled in 6.45 and 6.55 and this was a light step before needing to run 50 of each dungeon plus hundreds of FATEs.

Godbert "The Goat" Manderville, is definitely the strongest human I have seen. I have no idea how we are the Warrior of Light in the face of such majesty, such pristine and opulent might. You can tell me this man can solo Meteion and I will believe you.

I love the RP solo duty as Godbert, that man is so god dang powerful it's unreal. I wish Square made a limited job where we get to learn Manderville skills. Cause hoo boy, not only do those skills hit hard, we get the Manderville sprint.

  7. I will just passively upgrade them all. The new deep dungeon gives astronomy, so I'll see how many wep upgrades i get until im done there and return to frontline mount farm grind

  8. The weapons looks really cool but such an easy second step makes me terrified of what’s to come. Something worse than ARR journals I fear…

  9. I agree that it’s definitely boring, but it’s at least better than having to spam CT for the 2000th time. I wonder when Astronomy becomes obsolete in 6.4 will they shift the purchase to poetics, making them even easier to get, or to casualty keeping them basically the same in terms of farming? 🤔

  10. I guess I'm a little sad the relic weapon doesn't have us doing some special piece of content to get something, but I feel like the biggest issue is still gonna be that there isn't a adventuring foray for us to do. I feel like that's what's missing.

  11. I know you said that the 630 relics are 5 ilvl off from "best in slot", but don't the relic weapons have overcharged secondary stats for their ilvl? I know a little while back when I was looking at Sage weapons, the 615 relic seemed even better than pretty much any other higher ilvl weapon because of its massive Crit stat, even if I was losing out on a little bit of Mind. Only the P8S and TOP weapons beat it out.
So if the 630 relic keeps to having overcharged Crit, I'd think that'll stay true and it'll be BiS?

  12. I really hope once FFXVI is out, the team that moved over returns, as EW has been rather lazy in implementation – while it has its moments it's down in Stormblood tier rather than the heights of HW/ShB

  13. This is soooo boring. I can't believe we got Island Sanctuary (which is also boring and monotonous) instead of another relic zone. I agree that it's better than spamming CT a million times but I'd like to do something more interesting than just Roulette or Dungeons.

  14. step 2: get tomes. . . there, i saved you 7 minutes.
though its stupid how ridiculously easy the weapon are now, i didnt feel accomplished at all nor did it give the same feeling that the HW – SHB give.
feels like they catering TOO hard to the turbo ultra mega casuals now

  15. I think the entire relic arc of Endwalker is improvised and that's why it's so lame. We know that Bozja was supposed to continue beyond ShB and that it was cut short after Matsuda left. I strongly suspect that the planned relic path for Endwalker was just the continuation of Bozja (what else would EW Bozja be for?) and they had no B plan for relics when it fell apart. They must've tied it to the Manderville weapons since that's something that was coming for the expansion. I really don't think this is what they wanted to give us for a relic zone, but they weren't going to ship an expansion without relic weapons either.

  16. I find this super disappointing. Grinding out past relic weapons is my favorite thing to do, and while I understand that they want to take a break from Field Operations for it to be this lazy so far is very disappointing. Feels like it's genuinely just an afterthought, hell, the splendorous tool grind is more interesting than this…

  17. There are two things that could be going on right now with how drastically lazy this seems. The more money a company makes, the lazier they tend to get (like WoW). Or, square is dealing with a lot of financial issues, ff xiv is literally their only cash grab rn. So because square is failing, FF XIV’s new potential with how much more money it’s been making the past couple of years is going to be brutally harmed.
