  1. im a weirdo when it comes to the movement to the point i have a plugin for it.
when my weapon is drawn it auto puts me in legacy mode, if its sheathed im in standard. i like the small movements of moving backwards when im not in combat

  2. UI is one of the worst parts of FF 14. I know they don't really believe in firing people, but they need to bring in an advisory unit from the WEST to help them fix their UI. It's a bad windows-like design built around controller. There are way too many situations where open windows create dependencies that lock you into actions and won't allow you to complete others (joining a group while having any other window open for example). Their accessibility is also terrible. I've been playing the War Within for one week and I'm remembering why my fiancé almost uninstalled FF14 back during Shadowlands. The UI is horrendous. This guy is likely a coder that drew the shortest straw and was stuck with UI design. They don't have a real UX/UI designer on this team. They never have.

  3. Not surprised at all that Legacy movement reigns supreme. SO much smoother! Also, controller FTW. Movement feels so much more natural, and Leap of Faith is way easier. Targeting is a bit annoying sometimes but you get used to it. K+M feels so wrong to me now lol
SO excited for chat bubbles!! Excited for a lot of this, actually. UI changes don't seem very exciting, but when you realise how much actually falls under this guy's umbrella, it's actually REALLY exciting, esp for those of us who use gpose and such often.

  4. Yea that's a lot to put on one person. And some don't seem connected to UI. He must be in charge of all those things and have team members that take care of those things. Right? Like it has to be a team in charge of the GPose. And that team has a few members. But the head of that team reports to him. Right? Please? Otherwise that man is overworked.

  5. The green one is linkshell/crossworld linkshell chat. You can definitely change all text chat colors under Character Config settings > "Log Text Colors". And you can also change player names under Character Config settings > "Display Name Settings" and clicking the colored bubble.

  6. I'll throw some caution to the wind & say that controller is superior, especially for movement.
WASD is never going to be a contest for an analogue stick. And I'm a hardcore super duper savage raider so my opinion counts above all others! 😂😉

  7. The most important feature for me is the whiteboard because the number of people who cannot do mechanics is staggering. But since people don’t respect mechanics anyway the probability of them using the whiteboard is low…

  8. 2:46 Everything you see as soon as you launch the game is U.I/U.X design. Absolutely amazing job, and one that I'm interested in pursuing one day, but unfortunately isn't something you can just get hired for. I'm sure this man had to work his way up to the top to get this position, kudos to him.

  9. I hope when the White board raid planner UI comes out I can finally find some cool laid back people who enjoy doing extreme and savage content without looking at any guides and try to solve the mechanics by discussing and communicating with their teammates and are not obsessed with getting a clear as fast as possible. This feature will be quite handy when experimenting and testing tactics. On the other hand for the people that already watch guides this feature is useless.
