FFXIV – 7:38 EX#2 BLM PoV (Rank 1 Boss Damage – 6,757.9 rDPS)

Sloppy speedkill with two deaths (we can definitely kill much faster).
I think it was well executed on my end for the most part.

Log: https://www.fflogs.com/reports/wmKT7ZqAQGMrWjND#fight=42&type=damage-done

Why go for the transpose opener: I did some math on the first phase of this fight (2min 12 seconds of uptime) and determined that the rotation I did would output the most potency in that first time period.

What set are you running: I am using the 2.32 BiS from the Balance. Why 2.32? Because the Despair – Xeno that I end the first phase on will only hit the boss if I am on 2.32. If I run the 2.34 set, that Xenoglossy will cast but not count as a boss hit. So I’m gaining damage in a sense by running 2.32 with the rotation I am doing.

Also, I did not pad on adds in this log (and also had to caster LB for speedrun purposes) which is why the overall parse is not as low. But on the boss damage metric, it’s rank 1 as of time of upload 🙂

Is transpose paradox slow f3 into 4x Fire 4 Despair a gain over standard rotation: Not really, they are roughly equal. In terms of just the raw numbers, the transpose line is 0.7% better, but t he standard rotation has an advantage if you get a Firestarter proc as you can do some nifty high potency per second transpose lines with one (see 4:10 in video). But it has its applications, such as specific phase timings (I use it extensively in the first phase as I find I can get the most potency out in the phase doing a rotation like that) , but I also don't use it too much in the second phase.
