  1. Well the video is finally here – and as the sound absorbing portable walls are now all done, this should be the very last video we record on the greenscreen where the sound isn't great 😀 so Endwalker's video should sound a lot better fingers crossed.

Where does Shadowbringers rank among your favourite RPGs of all time?

  2. I totally agree with the comparisons of FFXIV to WoW and Emet to the Jailer… however the whole 1 expansions worth of writing thing isn't totally accurate. Emet is the culmination of the Ascian plotting and scheming, which we've been exposed to for almost a decade at that point. So while Emet, himself, is 1 expansion – his story and his struggle is many years in the making.

  3. Emet was my favorite but I think Elidibus's story hit me the hardest. I'm really surprised to hear it didn't resonate with people but I wonder if you have to see a mind deteriorate with alzheimers or dimentia to really have it hit home.

  4. Possibly the best villain of all time?

That one there was a violation.

Agree with everything else you said, you can really tell how much you analyzed this game. Glad to have you playing one of my favorite games to share your experiences.

  5. It's weird. I have such a strong emotional connection to this game that even though I'm essentially done everything I want to do, I'm reluctant to unsub and stop playing for a bit. Like..I just want to log in and be in the world.

  6. Final Fantasy 14 is my first ever dive into an FF setting. I came over from WoW during BFA (patch 4.2 to be precise) and i went into Shadowbringers with 2 jobs at 70, Red Mage and Bard. I went into Endwalker with everything at 80, including DoL/DoH, and as I mainly rp, had set the stage for some great stories in Endwalker. Shadowbringers however hits a nerve with me that no other game has. I didn't cry much in gaming, in fact there was really only 1 other time and that was when Kalimdor was on fire but that was mostly because of RL memories not for any impactful story bits. Much like you Shadowbringers hit me hard, So did Endwalker but i'll wait to discuss that for the next video. You hit all the key points as to what makes Shadowbringers so amazing, and you couldn't resist throwing in that clip of Seta and Ardbert reuniting. It brought me to tears just now just as it did when i went through MSQ on launch week.
Can't wait for your Endwalker video Preach. Well done, well spoken as always. 10/10

  7. IMHO: Amaurot the dungeon is the Everest of FFXIV (and probably my whole gaming life, cuz I don't remember feeling like this in any other game before) but my boy preach we're just getting started hang tight fasten your seatbelt 😂
