Just passing by and decided to watch. I love your reactions to everything. So hyped!
One fun fact: Emet's body language is different before and after the fight. Before he was slumped, crushed by the weight on his shoulders and soul. After he could stand upright as he passes his legacy to us.
Loved every second of it, I was glad I actually got to do the thing. Huggies!
Your reaction was just like my reaction. Great vid
So an interesting extra tidbit about Emet-Selch's despair over people's "frailty." Note how he mentions in his rant prior to the Amaurot dungeon about having lived our lives, and sired children. There's a set of official short stories on the FFXIV Lodestone site called "Tales from the Shadows" that add some narrative garnishment to the Shadowbringers story. One of them speaks of Emet-Selch's past briefly. One of the children he sired while possessed of Solus's original body was infirm from birth and eventually died as a child. This seemingly broke what hope he had mustered in the fairer folk of the shards having the wherewithal to shoulder the legacy of the ancients. He harps about people being "frail" and "feeble" almost constantly and I think losing a son to the whims of a worldly disease plays a big part in that.
