  1. Report them. We can't let the gods [mods] do all job for us and see everything we see. RMT is the basic reason for SE to ban someone and its us diligently fighting the cancer that prevents it from taking proper root.

And if you ban them, their house space frees up anyway.

  2. I actually gave up on trying to get a house until 6.1 releases, I dont even look to see if any are available any more.

Wait, they removed the relocation exploit in 6.0? Thats great but its not enough to make me go back to looking for a house every day again.

  3. Will come to digital casino company's dude and dudets. Regulation would help. It's better than nothing at this point. And the store needs to go. I guess it's just me but it sucks. I rather unlock it. But why bother playing the game. No body has time for that. 🤡😭🤔🤥🐋🐮💩❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥😝🤑🤮😡🙂😜🤞🤣😂😏😝🤕👢😉. The devil's we no sadly.

  4. If accounts can be difinitivly linked to people selling these plots for real money. The account should be banned and all houses they hold instantly demolished… And no it isn't harsh.

  5. Hopefully enough people reported this person and their plots to get them banned. It's unfair and against ToS, there is no defending buying houses with real money!
I'm so glad we're getting the lottery system to make it easier for people to get a house by legitimate means without placard-clicking (Savage). I'm already lucky enough to own a house but I will be supporting my homeless friends when new plots are available!

  6. And this is why I own an apartment. Hoping Island sanctuary can let me use my outdoor furnishings from back when I had an IG House.

Honestly, probably the worst part of FF14(Besides trying to buy it, well even more so now) is the market, both Housing and the Board. The games Economy is just so bad, that honestly spending the time to do it yourself is probably the best use of time/gil rather than rely on the shysters' like this who hoard up the markets.

  7. I really hope there's absolutely no situations where they re-use the placard method. It's so bad it makes cheating the most practical answer. It's game design that says hey, we don't want you to do this, we want you to cheat. It's like piracy in the days before digital media pulled their head out of their ass. Most people 'wanted' the ability to do things the right way, but chose to pirate because there was no other way to reliably get digital media.

  8. the sellers are assholes, but I cant blame the buyers, the FFXIV housing system is a shitshow, before it was the fastest bot the one who gets the house but there was hope because the playerbase was smaller, you could actually find some plots in uldah or gridania that were empty for a week or so, now there is a shitton of players and everything gets sold instantly the same day, and in 6.1 it will become full gacha luck, roll that 0.003% for an SSR shirogane plot, the Ishgard banner is gonna be lit…
I just hope the island thing includes a house with all of its functions.

  9. Man, digital real estate agents are almost as unscrupulous as the real thing.

A life time ago, when I was still in the Army, a had a soldier that was a former real estate agent. I asked him why the hell would he give it up? Was the money not as good as people made out?

His reply has stuck with me all these years. "I got sick of destroying people's lives
You're constantly lying to families that are buying, and old people that are selling. Eventually I couldn't look at myself in the mirror"

It's probably wishful thinking that these digital sellers will have a similar change of heart. Whenever there is FOMO, there's a young, pre-epiphany real estate agent ready to seperate someone.from their funds.

  10. So I just lucked out getting my house during Shadowbringers? I had one during Stormblood, but I gave it up to move to a friend’s server. Long story short, things didn’t work out. I got my current house last year and I love my Goblet house overlooking the swimmers in the center.

  11. As much as I hate people who exploit the system for real money, I also hate the people who is actually idiotic enough to pay for it and enabling these scumbags. Because people are willing to pay for those, there will always be scummy people taking up houses that could have gone to players who genuinely want a house.

  12. It's kinda disgusting how its always single people trying to exploit multiple houses. 1 house per account. Max level restriction. Gametime played required. Make this so hard that no one could ever do this. An abuse like this shouldn't be possible. Makes me sick how they snatch them away from actual players just for profit. It shouldn't be possible.

  13. The lottery system is tbh just even worse, now every house will go up on the lottery system you can only purchase ONE ticket for ONE house making it impossible to get the house unless you are lucky when the only thing they actually need to do is increasing the number of wards on the server. It's a complete fucking bullshit system just like the RNG system we have today. It's an idiot solution made by idiots who don't understand the problems it will cause.

  14. My first reaction to Island Sanctuaries is: "Doesn't this kind of sound like Garrisons in WoD?"

Whether or not they are similar, I hope their implementation doesn't have similar affects on the community. I recall that Garrisons were just a big daily chore and not very fun after a while

  15. Unpopular opinion but plots feel like a status thing at this point.

I feel sorry for SE having to continually spend money and time adding more wards so the "can't have it so I want it" people can use their plot like a glorified storage shed for holiday/event items.

An apartment (which there are generally plenty of) would suit the needs of many players if they were at all realistic with themselves.

  16. Blame the game, don't blame the player.
People that use this system isn't making YOUR game worse. He is not using bots.
Our housing system was always bad and we are still waiting for improvement.

  17. FF14 housing is an artificially created scarcity by the producers. Yoshida has mentioned that they have intended for housing to be “something envied by other players”.

Remember, for JP people you have to read between the lines when they say anything. This has been proof for me that the current housing situation is a deliberate design by the team to create a luxury item. Do they have the ability to create instance housing? Sure, look at apartments and how each house is instanced, but they want to create a neighborhood feel and a sense of accomplishment for those lucky enough to get a house; so here we are today. Let’s see how things go after 6.1 drops and the lottery system is implemented.

  18. I've been playing this game since it was released and I've always thought the housing system should be redone in a different way. Instanced housing like the apartments probably would have been a better idea for personal housing, while leaving the current houses just for Free Companies.
