A little series I’ve wanted to start for a while showing off some of the music from FFXIV that’s reused or remixed from classic games!
In what may surprise a lot of people given the overall popularity, Final Fantasy VII is one of the most underrepresented games in FFXIV to date having only two in-game songs via the Gold Saucer, and one mount song via the Fenrir motorcycle. Still holding out for a FF7 Remake/Rebirth/Re???? crossover one day!

Huh, I've never played 7 but I would have assumed there'd be at least one song in the Weapon series that's at least partially a reference.
wait what about electric de chocobo for the GATE theme? though I guess it's just another variant of the chocobo theme tbf
