  1. Hopefully this helps explains the questions many have had about the AOE rotation. This video is a beginner friendly guide to breakdown how to go about using your AOE rotation. Use buffs accordingly and OGCDs for optimizing 😀. Hit me up if you ever have questions!

  2. My man.. I appreciate you going indepth with these guides, these casual guides won't be so casual once you learn to optimize between single target and aoe abilities with monk haha. Gonna leave the rest of the dps classes in the dust again (nothing wrong with the others, I come from a time when monk was super rewarding for its complex mechanics) besides Reaper probably but this is the monk I love and remember before stormblood released and man.. just when I was thinking of maybe learning a new class I decided to be stubborn about it and stick with monk, I was so determined to relearn my baby that I looked up guides everywhere but most where outdated from the older expansions until I found your videos and man.. you saved my long lost love for Monk, everyone who loves Monk really does have that love and hate relationship with them hahahaha I love monk, it's my first and main class since I started this game and me coming back after 3 years and seeing the changes really threw me off but you good sir have made me see the light again, I appreciate all the time and effort you put in these and I will be looking forward to your future guides for other classes too, stay classy sir and have my sub 😁👌

  3. The AOE for Monk is probably the only Universally loved change (aside from Thunderclap) and it's amazing honestly.

    I'll be sticking with Monk but there are glaring problems with it. Feels like there is so much potential but we are always 1 or 2 abilities off 🙁 outside of PB is so boring.

  4. Great vids Jay! I'm new to mnk (lvl 47 atm) and am enjoying it so far. Looking forward to learning how to play it in the later levels and i'll definitely be using your guides to do so. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your vids, they definitely help!

  5. Something about this video made me go back to Monk, I don't know what it is, but I've been using Monk since 2.0 (actually since FF1 Blackbelt) and I've loved the job, kinda wondered in 2.0 why we have positionals in a PvE game where the mobs follow you in the open world part, and it seemed like every Monk change there was something I liked and would frustrate me, this kept going until I dropped it in StormBlood when I couldnt take the changes (Riddle of Fire and oGCDs) and mained Dancer when ShadowBringers hit, but came back to Monk in 5.4 when it kinda felt…at its best so I thought…but I was fatigued from fighting with the job for years and took I hiatus till Endwalker where I went between Summoner for MSQ and Sage alternative.

    Fastforward to now, and after seeing your video I picked up Monk again and gave it a try, during the job trailer I felt something was wrong about how Monk was displayed, but had no info on it, that feeling festered till Endwalker released and my hype for Summoner made me write off the job, but having watched your videos and explanations, I went back to it yesterday and I enjoy it, it's a weird feeling back on the job and playing it again, granted I'm only at 84 with it but I know most of them are just upgraded skills from here, but I dunno I'm liking it in a kind of natural growth of enjoying it instead of just hype, though I kinda with Perfect Balance had three charges which would have the 40 second cooldown not so bad or just lower the cooldown on Perfect Balance so it feels like you're using Masterful Blitz a bit more to fit the jobs new identity.

    Wooo, sorry for the wall of text, but I had to say all that. ^^;
